I often get approached by folks seeking jobs in climate or sustainability, and have reposted some of the job threads I see that regularly come about. Here is another great resource – mostly for my US colleagues. Thanks, Leonard Adler! I’d be curious if anyone has seen some thing similar that exists for Europe? If yes, please post in the comments! #sustainabilityjobs #climatejobs

Brilliant session today at #iseapprenticeships24 My key takeaways:🧐 When approaching your Apprenticeship and School Leaver strategy, always begin with the end in mind; work backwards from the standpoint of ‘what are you trying to achieve’. 🔚 Your ESG/CSR teams can be invaluable internal resources to help foster org wide adoption and social value positioning. What can your ESG colleagues do to support? 🖇️ 78% of student respondents to a survey said that ‘working environment had a major influence on selecting their destination employer’. How does your workplace feature in your outreach comms? 📍 Detail matters! Did you know that at certain wage levels, some benefits to students disappear - paying an extra £2 a month could tip someone over the threshold to lose their council tax reduction and actually cost them more! 💷 Don’t know where to start? The ‘quick and dirty’ solution could really help: send your current role model apprentices back to engage their old schools! 🏃🏻♀️ What do you think? I’d love to hear my network’s thoughts on this. Thanks to Institute of Student Employers for the day and Group GTI for the ticket! #earlycareers #apprenticeships #strategy

We've had countless conversations with employers over the past fortnight about the need for #greenskills to support our industries to adapt to climate change and create a thriving, local, green economy. Whilst it would probably be easier to document the reason's why you shouldn't train for a role with green skills, a few of the reasons why you should are detailed below. #apprenticeshipsforall #southyorkshire

Seaspray Dreams & Ocean Champions: How Apprenticeships Nurture Future Protectors 🏖 Imagine tiny hands sculpting seashells, their eyes sparkling with wonder as they learn about the ocean's magic. This heartwarming scene became a reality thanks to one of our inspiring Early Years Educator Level 3 apprentices at Lifetime! 🐟 Yesterday, our amazing Lifetime Learning Coach, Katie Andrews, had the privilege of witnessing an incredible lesson on ocean pollution. This dedicated apprentice designed a captivating activity to spark a passion for protecting our precious oceans, free from plastic and waste. For little ones, the ocean is a wonderland. It's a place to chase playful waves, uncover hidden treasures on the shore, and meet fascinating creatures. While they might understand healthy oceans are important, fostering a love for protecting them starts with understanding why. 🌊 Our apprenticeships at Lifetime empower educators to create these impactful lessons. By helping children grasp how their tiny actions can make a big splash for the ocean, we open their eyes to its beauty and inspire them to become responsible guardians. 🐬 Here are 6 fun facts for curious minds to explore ocean plastic pollution: 1. Each year, over 8 million tonnes of plastic enter our oceans! 2. By 2040, ocean plastic pollution is predicted to triple. 3. Plastic waste sadly never truly disappears. 4. Over time, plastic breaks down into tiny microplastics – smaller than a grain of beach sand! 5. Plastic debris can trap and harm amazing sea creatures like turtles and dolphins. 6. Animals might mistake plastic waste for food, leading to tummy troubles. Sharing stories like this is a true highlight of my job! A huge well done to the apprentice for designing such a valuable activity and showing a passion for inspiring young minds. And thank you to Katie Andrews for sharing this special visit with us. 💛 Want to learn more about how Lifetime apprenticeships can help your nursery nurture future ocean champions? We'd love to chat! 🌊 Today, I had the pleasure of visiting a Level 3 Early Years apprentice who organised an inspiring activity focused on the importance of keeping our oceans free from plastic and other waste. It was a fantastic experience to see the dedication and creativity that went into educating young minds about such a crucial global issue. Teaching children about topical world issues like ocean pollution is not just about raising awareness; it's about empowering the next generation to take action and make a difference. By engaging them early, we nurture a sense of responsibility and stewardship for our planet. Kudos to the apprentice for their passion and commitment to environmental education. Together, we can create a ripple effect that leads to a cleaner, healthier world. 🌍✨ #EnvironmentalEducation #PlasticFreeOceans #Apprenticeships #apprenticeships #everylearnermatters #lifetimetraining
