Excitement, adventure and conspiracy theories? In addition to being one of the most influential movie franchises of all time, the Indiana Jones movies also provide a layer of mystery to moviegoers. For example, in "Raiders of the Lost Ark," a government warehouse hides dangerous artifacts, sparking conspiracy theories about secret archaeological mysteries. 🎞️ Dive into the world of conspiracy theories with Inverse and see what Psychology expert JP Prims has to say: https://lnkd.in/efVU-uPm

Sci-Fi Comedy Based On The Funniest Book Of All Time Is Being Lost To New Fans https://flip.it/Xe2BmV Hardly any of my current students are familiar with Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I had to explain the relevance of the number 42 to them!!! Still, every day is a learning day and I've been able to correct the hole in their knowledge of sci-fi literature. Michael Gear is a captivating continuation of the Pacemaker's series, following Sky Messenger as he battles dark forces and navigates the political turmoil of the Iroquois nations. Haunted by apocalyptic visions, Sky Messenger must confront the malevolent sorcerer Atotarho, whose schemes threaten to plunge his people into chaos. What’s the best example of defining a character in the beginning and sticking to it till the very end? John Wick If you watch John Wick: Chapter 1, it begins with an individual living a simple life along with a dog until an arrogant character crosses path with him and messes with him. Not only does he take John’s car but he also kills the dog which was gifted by his wife after her death. This scene here defines John Wick’s entire character. Notice how Viggo says that John Wick is not the Boogeyman, he’s someone whom you send to kill the Boogeyman. It implies that John Wick is the most dangerous person to have ever lived. But obviously you don’t believe it and take it lightly because that happens in every action movie. But what follows is not 1 but 3 movies proving this exact scene and Viggo’s reason for worrying. John Wick movies are a testament of character staying true to his nature.

My latest writing is an essay titled Superheroes and Sehnsucht, which analyzes the meteoric rise of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and its subsequent faltering, focusing on its drifting sense of virtue. Where once heroes were celebrated for acts of moral courage, postmodern sensibilities have infiltrated the plotlines of newer releases. It's behind a paywall, but it's only one dollar! If you're interested in superhero movies, man's search for meaning, and the hero cycle, it may be worth your time. https://lnkd.in/gT5taFw4
