Nothing makes me happier than to see a gritty comeback story or entrepreneurs who understand the impact transparency and authenticity play in building successful businesses. Entrepreneurship isn't just about profits; it's about creating spaces where everyone feels at home. The Silver Stamp's success story proves that authenticity is the cornerstone of any endeavor. As co-owners Andrew Smith and Rose Signor have shown, it's not about following a checklist; it's about understanding what truly matters to people and the community. Cheers to The Silver Stamp and all the mom-and-pop shops out there making a difference, one heartfelt gesture at a time! #SmallBusinessSuccess #Authenticity #CommunityFirst #EntrepreneurialSpirit #Entrepreneurs #MarketingStrategy

This is the view from my favourite Sea Food Restaurant I had never seen it so crowded. One of the best sea food restaurants I have ever visited was even busier than before. The parking lot was full.. the cars were lined up and down the street. We had stopped by to say hello to the owner who has been a friend for years. A friendly smile, handshake and then he was off as it was organised chaos all around us. One reason he was full. He has observed over the last few years customers coming and wanting to eat but once the shaded seating in his outdoor restaurant was full they would leave and at best come back later.. but more often went elsewhere. So he sacrificed his own desire to keep an open sky over the front of the venue and put in several canopy roofs to make all the tables shaded. Did it affect the aesthetics? Sure. But it fulfilled the desire of what his customers wanted. The experience of excellent sea food outside with still a panoramic view of the sea but without a hot sun beating down directly on them. And now he is busy….. very busy…. But that is a topic for another day. #businessownership, #businessgrowth, #smes, #entrepreneurs, #scaleup, #businessvalue

Motivation Monday: Entrepreneurship Essentials (aka Buckle Up) As part of my family vacation to Greece, we went on a wine tasting tour at Saint Anna Winery in the island of Naxos. Pictured below is Emmanuel Petrakis, who founded the winery in 2016 at the age of 21. Emmanuel shared that it was his dream to create a winery on his maternal grandfather's property in Naxos, a place that he would visit throughout his childhood as he grew up in Athens. To support his dream Emmanuel studied agriculture at a technical farming school, and then upon graduation in 2013 he went to work at a winery to start honing his skills. (Note: It's very smart to do your core learning on someone else's dime) Three years later, after getting comfortable with the wine making process, he founded Saint Anna, which is named after the 9th century church located on the property (which he is standing next to in the pic). At Saint Anna Emmanuel works in every aspect of wine making, from picking grapes to managing the entire distillation, currently producing 9,000 cases per year over nine varietals. This work is the functional equivalent of starting a business in your basement. Emmanuel has dedicated his entire life to this journey, sacrificing his social life and other endeavors for the sole purpose of growing the winery and honoring his grandfather (who passed away three years ago at the age of 98!). And all of his profits are being invested back into the business to continue perfecting his craft. Attn: aspiring entrepreneurs- are you willing to make similar sacrifices to pursue your dreams? Because it is table stakes for what's necessary in order to have a CHANCE to be successful. So let that thought distill for a bit 😉. Make It A Great One! #motivationmonday #motivation #inspiration #entrepreneur #entrepreneurship #entrepreneurshipjourney #perserverance #persistence #grit #determination #dream #passion

How to establish successful business partnerships? Identifying specific challenges they've overcome is an excellent first step. Sérgio Duarte Frade navigated through the global crisis of 2008 in the real estate market, and more recently, at the helm of #GuelraOTT and Restaurante O Frade during the pandemic, restaurants within the 2Future portfolio, he proved that businesses can thrive despite crises. It's an honor to be alongside him. If I were you, I'd learn more about his biography on the link below. #gastronomy #journey #inspiration #challenges #entrepreneurship #2Future

Founder, Director Of Sugared Bakes Pte Ltd New Product Curation/ Consultancy/ Manufacturing. Proudly ISO 22000/ HACCP Certified. Purveyor of Premium and Decadent Desserts/ Pastries. Ardent Listener with a Hearing Heart.
The Entrepreneurial Journey of a Lifetime… Sugared Bakes Pte Ltd. Part 1… So Where do I begin? Be warned, It’s gonna be long one… Working with Patrick Chan and Kitchen Haus Group Pte Ltd is truly still the best, most exciting, most satisfying but also the most challenging #startup journey of my life… Growing up it has always been my dream to helm my own business/ be my own boss. Working on my passion for all things Automotive, I starting a car polishing business, with limited knowledge, resources but a ship load of Enthusiasm and Self Confidence. Moving on to Selling flowers, in forms of flower arrangements, bouquets and the like for 2 years… albeit the challenge of getting constant orders to sustain the business took its toll. Lastly, I went to help my mom’s jewellery box business and tried“taking over” her business and retail shop for about 6 months but all came to naught and I eventually applied to become a Cabin Crew with #SingaporeAirlines for the next 13 years! Sep 2020 In the midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic, lock downs and associated measures. Many businesses have closed down and the SIA flights were still scarce and limited. Having been a home baker since 2010 my wife Jocelyn has been selling her cakes and pastry products online and Patrick having spoken with us at length before came back again during this time to offer a business proposition to build a Patisserie company together. Nov 2020 We signed our partnership into reality, A chance of a lifetime or is it a risk of a lifetime? Nonetheless we looked at this opportunity offered as a once in a lifetime to reshape our future and embarked on our true entrepreneurial journey! Jan 2021 to Jun 2022 We started at the back of a humble kitchen build up our product offerings, working closely with our parent company to grow our revenues. Starting out with just myself, my wife and a single baker we forged on and did our best to build our revenue… Jun 2022 to Jun 2023 A huge opportunity knocked and we started our own Central kitchen! Knowing we now have the capacity to ramp up our offerings we added OEM capabilities to our list of services. As the number of staff and customers grew, the operational/ logistical/ product challenges grew as well. It has always been our company’s mission to always deliver the best quality products for all our customers and we are very proud to say that whatever challenges we faced, our team has always came out on top. Sure, there were many hits and misses as well, but we drew constant strength from the knowledge that we always had the fullest support of our parent company and that sound advice is always available to guide us. It is also with this constant support that we were able to overcome seemingly impossible odds and continue to grow the company. To be continued… #Lifebeginsagain #Impossibleisnothing #Cancersurvivor #LetsRiseAgain #Sugaredbakes2024

Business Story of The Day: 🌟 The Bakery Behind the Castle 🏰 In a land far, far away, nestled just behind the grand, shimmering castle, lay a small, unassuming bakery. This bakery was owned by Oliver, a humble baker with dreams as big as the sky. His pastries were known to be the best in the village, but only a few villagers knew about his delicious creations. One day, while leaving the bakery to deliver bread, Oliver noticed a troupe of traveling merchants gathering in the town square. These merchants were known for their wisdom in business and trade. 💼📈 Curious and desperate to take his bakery to the next level, Oliver approached one particularly wise merchant named Seraphina. "How can I make my bakery successful? More people need to know about my pastries," he asked, his voice tinged with hope. Seraphina smiled and said, "Oliver, the key to success lies not just in the quality of your product but in the way you present and market it. You are behind the castle, hidden from sight. You need to let the world know about you!" Inspired, Oliver decided to take action immediately. He began with an open house event 🏠🍰, inviting villagers from near and far to sample his pastries for free. He also collaborated with a local artist to paint a beautiful mural of his bakery, making it a landmark in the village. Then, Oliver strategically designed charming signs and placed them around the castle, guiding people to his hidden gem. 📍👣 He even took to social media of the medieval world—the storytelling bards. He hired bards to sing tales of his mouth-watering pastries at every market gathering. Within weeks, the bakery behind the castle became the talk of the town. People traveled great distances to taste Oliver's creations, and what was once a humble bakery turned into a bustling business. Oliver had to hire more hands to keep up with the demand! 👨🍳👩🍳 Oliver's story teaches us that no matter how good your product is, people need to know about it. Taking action, marketing wisely, and being creative can transform your small venture into a grand success. So ask yourself, what story can you tell to make your business shine? 🌟💪 #SmallBiz #Entrepreneurship #BusinessSuccess #MarketingStrategy #GrowthMindset #StartupLife #BusinessGoals
