Lots of our clients are looking for a less traditional means of networking and want to tie in added health benefits where possible ✅. I am looking for individuals interested in golf ⛳️ who would like to get together within London and the South West (when schedules suit) to play golf, network and “pick each other’s brain”. All levels welcome and there are no set courses. People will get to play with people in and outside their network when it suits to develop their own personal networks and contacts 🤝. Flexible business networking to suit all schedules. The Big Red Golf Society 🏌️♀️🏌️ Forrrrrrrrrrre! If you are interested in joining this group let me know. Ps there is no cost or obligation 🤝. A recent photo from a more social trip where we recreated the Ryder Cup… badly! 🎾 Professionals are swapping golf clubs for pickleball paddles. There are several reasons why pickleball is seeing much more success in networking opportunities. It has a low cost of entry, requires less skill, is multi-generational, and is faster to play than other activities like golf. Over the past few years, pickleball has seen enormous growth, quickly being dubbed America’s fastest-growing sport. But instead of just being something fun to do on the weekend with friends, it’s being leveraged as a networking opportunity or even a way to spend time with clients and close deals. #networking #WorkLife #Pickleball #Sports

Business Development Manager at Hype Sports Management, I collaborate with companies to forge partnerships with our athletes, connecting world-class talent and uncovering rising stars.
🏌️♂️ How Sponsoring in Golf Can Grow Your Business 🏌️♀️ Have you considered how sponsoring a golf event or golfer could benefit your business? It might be worth exploring. Here’s why: Reaching the Right Audience: Golf tournaments attract a high-net-worth crowd, including key decision-makers. Wouldn’t it be valuable to get your brand in front of these individuals? Building Connections: Golf provides a relaxed environment for networking. How often do you get the opportunity to spend a few hours on the green with potential clients or partners? Enhancing Your Brand: Golf is associated with luxury and success. How might your brand benefit from this association? Engaging Audiences: Modern sponsorship goes beyond banners and logos. Could you leverage social media and interactive experiences to extend your reach beyond the event? Supporting Local Talent: Sponsoring local professional golfers can enhance your corporate social responsibility efforts. Isn’t it satisfying to support emerging talent in your community while promoting your brand? Client Entertainment: Golf sponsorships often come with perks like VIP tickets and hospitality packages. How could these be used to entertain clients or reward employees? I am looking to connect with businesses ready to elevate their brand and company through the unique opportunities that golf sponsorship and our talent can provide. Please call me or reach out to discuss further. Have you got any recommendations for #EventProf of the week? Comment them on the post! #EventProf #EventProfOfTheWeek #Events
🔥 EVENTPROF OF THE WEEK 🔥 "I'd pushed flight cases and lugged cable around events when I was at college in the late 90's studying sports coaching. My brother, James, worked for a temporary power and lighting supplier at the time – he's a lot more technical than me! – but I never thought I'd ever have a career in events." Professionals are swapping golf clubs for pickleball paddles. Are you one of them? Over the past few years, pickleball has seen enormous growth, quickly being dubbed America’s fastest-growing sport. But instead of just being something fun to do on the weekend with friends, it’s being leveraged as a networking opportunity or even a way to spend time with clients and close deals. Pickleball-related spending on the financial services platform Brex grew 155% year over year from 2022 to 2023, and is on track for another record year in 2024. In total, more than $75,000 of employee expenses had “pickleball” in the memo in 2023. While golf-related spending is still larger on an absolute basis (more than $1 million of golf-related spending in 2023), this category grew “only” 48% last year. There are several reasons why pickleball is seeing much more success in networking opportunities. It has a low cost of entry, requires less skill, is multi-generational, and is faster to play than other activities like golf. Thank you to Laura Gainor, Erin Mantz, Mary Cannon, John DiLoreto, and James Kirkham for your insights on this one!

I don’t golf. I don’t play tennis. I rarely attend networking events & when I do I’m the wallflower in the corner. I have never gotten business doing social things. How do I get business? I go straight for it. I make a call - again and again. I show up at their door. I’m polite…but insanely persistent. I have never gotten business by accident playing a game or drinking a cocktail. When I chat with people in those situations, I generally want to learn about them and not see them as a “prospect.” To me, somehow, that feels like I’m crossing a line. I’ve seen lots of people do this. And they are good at it. I’m just not & have chosen to get my business differently. I like to look people square in the face & tell them exactly why I’m there- and it doesn’t start with talking about other things. I find it’s important to get to the point when I’m working- and when I’m not- I’m focused on the person- not the business that’s in front of me. That’s just me. And it works- for me. If you feel like a wallflower in networking event or you don’t like to play sports to get business either- I just want you to know… you aren’t alone! #HRGal #sales #networking #golf #tennis

How to network at motorsport events? Motorsports events are not only exciting because you are THERE, on the track, but also because of the valuable networking opportunities they offer! Over the years, I have found some strategies that allow me to make the most of these events: 𝗕𝗲 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀: The most meaningful connections come from real talks. Be yourself and don’t just blab about your work and business—that can be annoying to everyone! Show curiosity about the other person’s life or future plans. It helps build a lasting impression! 𝗗𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗳𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁: People will notice it immediately. If you don’t have much time and you really need this person’s contact for work purposes, it’s better to find the right moment and be straightforward about it. 𝗕𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲: While it’s cool to chat with industry leaders, you have to remember that every conversation has value. You never know when someone you meet—whether a professional or a complete rookie—might offer insights, opportunities, or fresh perspectives that make a difference. Sometimes the most unexpected connections could lead you somewhere! 𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝘂𝗽 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁: It’s one thing to make a connection, but keeping it alive is just as important. A quick message or email afterward, mentioning something you discussed, helps maintain the relationship and keeps the door open for future collaboration. Anything else to add? By the way, we’re having a major event in Valencia next week! Anyone going to be there? If you are, don’t hesitate to come up and chat! #motorsport #logistic
