You can't head to the SHRM Conference without checking out these ten recommended tips for attendees. 1: 👟 Wear comfortable shoes. McCormick Place is BIG! You'll thank us later. 2: 🥪 Don't starve yourself. You'll be running around nonstop. Don't forget to pause and replenish yourself. You can also eat a little something beforehand or bring food just in case you don't like what's being served onsite. 3: 📅 Plan. Review in advance your program agenda and know which sessions you will attend. It's a jam-packed week. 4: 🤳 Live in the moment. But don't forget to capture images and videos throughout the conference so that you can reflect on the memories once it's all over. 5: 🛍️ Bring a BIG bag. Here’s a recap of everything I did last week in our business (and what I learned): 💰Sales Closed on a new type of product— we’re partnering with Fintech writer and thought leader Simon Taylor to create courses for his audience. The subject matter is cutting edge and the deal is structured with incentives so testing a new business model here on a cool topic. Also working on an account growth plan for Workday now that we’ve had success there. 🤝 Relationships Helped a prospect prep for a meeting with her CEO. This was my favorite call of the week. Together we crafted a compelling story for a 15-min pitch and the result? “I’m interested.” Exactly what we hoped for! 🦁 People Our offer for our new Strategic Account Manager role was accepted last week! Creating onboarding plans this week. I’m also in the middle of 1:1 check-ins with our extended team. These have been so valuable, I cannot recommend enough to “walk the shop floor” and get to know what’s happening on the ground. 👨🏫 Product Development Kicked off cohort 2 with electric energy at our e-commerce unicorn client. This was the account we almost lost with the pilot cohort, but we turned it around and upgraded the experience about 10 levels. Excited to see how this cohort develops. Also did a pop up session for Workday on using Predictive Index to adapt your communications with Jeb Stewart. Well received. And that’s a wrap! Another crazy week, but that’s how businesses are built. How was yours? #clweeklyreview
