The Farnborough International Airshow has commenced, showcasing top executives from the aviation and defense sectors amid ongoing supply chain issues. Two years after emerging from pandemic disruptions, the industry now faces the challenge of meeting soaring demand, with concerns about persistent supply chain problems. The International Civil Aviation Organization predicts that air travel could triple by 2050, raising significant environmental concerns. Airbus, with a backlog of 8,626 orders, contrasts with Boeing's 5,600, as the latter continues to recover from past setbacks. The defense sector also eyes opportunities, bolstered by increased military budgets but facing similar supply chain hurdles. The airshow underscores the sector's need to balance growth with sustainability and operational challenges. For more information:- https://lnkd.in/gHN2AYnb

The annual report out livestreamed by the General Aviation Manufacturers Association Wednesday delivered good news mixed with ongoing challenges to the industry. My key takeaways? 1. The GA industry delivered more than 4,000 units across the piston, turboprop and jet segments last year—more than we have in a decade. That’s exciting and shows continuing strength in the face of supply chain, inflation, and workforce pressures. 2. The MOSAIC comment period is open again—and we need to weigh in strongly against the proposed shift to Part 36 noise compliance, which would add spurious testing to already extensive certification programs. 3. We need to push for a commensurate book & claim system in Europe—especially as SAF availability moves to commercial airports and out of reach of BizAv where it can be used to foment innovation. 4. As we move towards the publication of the SFAR governing advanced air mobility lift, as well as facilitating bilateral agreements we must keep building guidance that is clear and actionable for the front line FAA, EASA, ANAC, and Transport Canada folks to implement. More on unleaded fuel, electric and hybrid progress, and fallout from Boeing to come. #JustJuliesTake #generalaviation #businessaviation
The total amount of GA airplanes delivered in 2023 was up 9% over 2022. See the full report at https://lnkd.in/e66PfUtg

Correct but bit late for damage control. We've all seen the images and I guarantee Delta has lost and will continue to lose passengers. My company handles PR and Reputation Management for numerous global carriers where this type of practice would never be tolerated. Crisis Management is essential in any PR strategy, but the fact that political allegiances were allowed for cabin staff is simply unacceptable. We'll see the fallout in their Financials particularly on sought after longhaul routes in business and first class. #Reputationmanagement #delta #CrisisManagement
🚨 Update: Delta Air Lines has updated its policy, starting at July 15th only American flag pins will be allowed on the clothing of flight attendants.

Co-founder & CTO at A-ICE, delivering technological advantage to aviation businesses through effective, innovative IT.
A few years ago I took this photo at an Italian Air Force Airshow at Pratica di Mare: an incredible event. The very high level of technology, the elegance in flight, the incredible performance... these machines are a sight to behold. But what would they be without adequate logistical support? Let's talk about CLOS and why the Collaborative Logistics Optimization System is the game-changer for logistical support for fighters. https://lnkd.in/d9FDat4x

Lessons learned. When a GOOD design/system satisfies the real world need, you can continue to upgrade/modify/outfit it with the latest technology without breaking the customer's bank. The O&M costs on this particular aircraft speaks volumes to how the original designers ranked operations and field maintenance of this plane.
Celebrating 50 Years of F-16 Legacy! For half a century, the F-16 has been a beacon of innovation and excellence in defense technology. With 25 global operators, 19.5 million flight hours and over 4,600 aircraft delivered, the F-16’s legacy is one of unmatched achievement and global impact. This remarkable aircraft has not only secured air dominance but also forged strong international partnerships and advanced global security.

The importance of good procedures, checklists, technical mastery and knowledge, and the most important of all is the organization culture and values. Especially, when people work or make decides during gray areas or when no rules could apply. That's when the culture and values play its role.
How do you make quick decisions? For aerobatic pilots✈ like Flight Lieutenant Justin “Jugs” Hayter of the Royal Australian Air Force’s Roulettes, decisions often need to be made in split seconds. Beyond procedures and technical skill, Jugs highlights team culture as a critical component in shaping how pilots make decisions under pressure. ▶He shares the thought process with LinkedIn News Asia in this video. 📹 Alita Utari Dewi 🎞️ Adrian Tay Defence Australia Singapore Airshow #linkedinvideo #decision #airforce #pilot Also watch: ▶How do pilots recover from a mistake? https://lnkd.in/g-WZmRst
