Re: The Google Core Content API Warehouse Documentation leak... As per the usual.. Be very careful where you get your information from. There's a whole a lot of extreme claims and assumptions based on individual interpretation of the documentation and the leak.

In September 2023 I received the wonderful news that I had been accepted into the 2 month Fall mentorship program with the wonderful Women in Tech SEO, a community focused on women helping women in the challenging tech field of SEO. As the last week of the #WTSMentorship I am reflecting on the wonderful progress made with my lovely mentor Diane Kulseth I am not the same lady I was two months ago. Thanks to my wonderful mentor providing me with a safe space, I was able to strengthen my professional qualities in impactful ways: 1️⃣ Remaining strong and empathetic in high pressure situations 2️⃣ Empowering myself to be myself and influence others in a positive way 3️⃣ Gain confidence connecting with other like minded professionals in my network. It's been a truly amazing experience, one that I am very proud to share with the wonderful Fall 2023 graduates within this fantastic organization. I encourage all women in the WTS group to apply for future cohorts! I am also thankful to Areej AbuAli , Kathryn Monkcom , and Weglot for their dedication to running these programs. They are transformative and extremely beneficial to the professional growth in our industry.

Here’s some food for thought as you digest the post holiday festivities. Should you be updating your content periodically? Yes, you should be. Even if it’s already been optimized? Yes, you still should be. Even if there are only minor changes? Yes, you still should be. Even if it has backlinks? Yes, you should still be. Here’s data to show that with a case study I concluded this past Thanksgiving. 🇺🇸🦃 Context: For the past two years, this page has served as a specific Thanksgiving food related resource to the US demographic. 📈During the Thanksgiving 2021 season, this page quickly grew from an average of about 5 daily clicks to an average of 45 daily clicks over the three months leading up to Thanksgiving, and peaked at 80 the day before Thanksgiving. 🍽️ The page required barely any updating as the information didn’t have major changes from the 2021 to 2022 season. However, following best practice I updated the page with minor changes three months prior to the holiday. The result was an increase over the previous years daily average clicks by almost double! ⚠️Now I know you might be saying… it was probably the fact that the page was more mature having been a year old, with more backlinks❗️ I was open to thinking differently , so this year, I decided to leave it unchanged and monitor the results to see what happens. 🔻The results: a 33.47% decrease in comparison to previous years. 👎 If #seo was all #backlinks wouldn’t it have grown regardless? 🤔 From a SEO perspective it’s never a bad idea to update your resources and keep your website content fresh. 👉If you haven’t been seeing results in your rankings and CTR strategy, let’s chat 💬

Tech seo is a foundation to your website. Without a well optimized technical structure, Google won’t be able to crawl your site. So, chasing the next big trend in content video marketing won’t make much of a difference.

Is anyone else completely unsurprised by the recent news with OpenAI? It hasn't even been a year since launching ChatGPT and it's been through so much controversy. From copyright concerns, ethical concerns, and even quality concerns. I share a pessimistic perspective on the future of OpenAI--not only because of these issues, but because of the following fast moving developments: 1️⃣ Among quality and funding concerns, the OpenAI board of directors have changed several hands silently over the past 6 months 2️⃣ The CEO has been ousted and although the position is being occupied by Twitch's co founder Emmett Shear, finding a new CEO with the company's current reputation and pressures from its investors won't be easy. Not to mention this is all at a time that Elon Musk, who we know has been heavily involved in the project, is being pressured to resign from Twitter. 3️⃣ 500 out of 770 OpenAI's current employees are publicly trying to jump ship...!!!! That is 64% of OpenAI's current workforce!!!! WHEW. None of this is random... or at least, it's far from random for me. If you're involved in #ai news and discussions you should definitely be following these developments. #openai was the main catalyst behind AI's media breakthrough in almost every single industry, and especially for the field of SEO and digital marketing.
