Tenant amenities requested by office workers is a great way to look at what your employees are looking for in an employer. I know that everyone cant get a pickle ball court for your employers or have a private gym, but these items indicate things you could do for your employees. 1.If you cant provide a gym, work with a local gym to develop a corporate membership rate. Studies have shown that a focus on health not only helps your employees, but also helps your company as a whole. 2.Lounge and conferencing space. So many people got use to working in more casual ways during the pandemic and they want that in the office as well. Look around your space to see if there are any areas that could be converted to a meeting are or lounge space. Most offices have underutilized areas that could easily be converted. If you dont have space in your office, look at coffee shops around your office. Grab some gift cards and give them to your employees so they can go work at the coffee shop for an hour and get out of the office. These public spaces are great for productivity. 3.Outdoor space- If you dont have outdoor space at your office, plan a few park picnic meetings in the spring and summer. This allows people to get out of the office while still being productive. All of these things can be used to target new staff and retain current employees. It doesn't take a lot of money and work, it just takes a little ingenuity to show that you care.
