(Paul, no pressure, but I hope you are rolling out to your home country soon 😅 ) From what I understand, you can seamlessly (thru Teams or Slack) recognise and reward people as a community: "Each employee can award a maximum of three bee emojis 🐝 through the preferred messaging platform per day, for anything for which they want to acknowledge a colleague. Once an employee reaches a certain number of bees, they can redeem them for a Prezzee Smart eGift card." I'm hearing a lot of HRBPs talking about the importance of graduating from a service function to a strategic partner. Let's break this down. HRBPs are the bridge between PX and managers, strategy and execution. At their best, HRBPs are a strategic partner. ↳ They design for and drive manager enablement and success ↳ They inform employee communications and cadences ↳ They help People Ops identify patterns, new processes, and programs ↳ They advise L&D on skill gaps and performance blockers ↳ They act as the eyes and ears of the organization. All too often, HRBPs become a service function. ↳ They're overwhelmed by questions, support tickets, and Slack DMs ↳ They're stuck in endless meetings and lack deep work time ↳ They're asked the same process question from a dozen managers ↳ They're left to pointing people to company resources or benefits ↳ The performance problems are far beyond an easy intervention It's hard to find enough time away from fire-fighting to quell the fire's source. For a lot of HRBPs at start-ups, this is where the problem lies. And in the current "do more with less" culture for HR, it's not as easy as hiring a dozen more HRBPs to ease the workload.
