As we kick off the first full working week of 2025, we’re excited to reflect on one of our proudest moments from 2024 the Lower Thames Crossing Skills Hub Pilot Event! In October, we welcomed Lord Blunkett and 250 guests to Gallagher’s Hermitage Quarry in Maidstone to showcase the Lower Thames Crossing Skills Hub Pilot in partnership with Flannery Plant Hire. Over two weeks, 20 participants—including individuals from diverse backgrounds, ex-offenders, and those who’ve faced educational challenges—engaged in this empowering programme. The initiative blended theory, practical experience, and simulator training to equip participants with valuable workforce skills.
