Social media has a significant impact on the self-esteem of young girls. It influences everything from their clothes to how they perceive their appearance. If social media only shows flawless, thin, and beautiful women without revealing the imperfections or challenges behind those images, young girls will likely struggle with their self-worth. We can help by exposing the reality behind these "perfect" posts, showing that everyone has their own flaws and insecurities. If we don't embrace ourselves for who we are, how can we expect our young girls to do the same? Let’s not let the end of Teen Self-Esteem Awareness Month end today. Let’s continue to remind our girls and boys how amazing they really are.

Sounds great… so what’s the catch? There isn’t one. No pitch. No lectures. No fees. ✅ A safe space for vulnerability and human connection. ❌ An event designed to sell you something. ✅ An inclusive community for ALL self-identifying women in the workplace. ❌ A paid membership with a curated audience. ✅ An open forum where everyone gets to speak and be heard. ❌ A place where the loudest voices drown out the softer ones. ✅ A place without pressure, judgment, or expectations. ❌ Forced participation in anything that makes you uncomfortable. ✅ A place to be seen and supported—exactly as you are. ❌ A place where you’re told who to be and how to show up. ✅ A place to witness others’ truths with empathy and compassion. ❌ A place to compare ourselves to one another. ✅ A place to sit in a circle, shoulder to shoulder, together as equals. ❌ A place to sit quietly in anonymous rows, ignoring the person next to you. ✅ A commitment to confidentiality, trust, and respect. ❌ A place for gossip, drama, or violating boundaries. ✅ A place where we lift each other up. ❌ A place where we tear each other down. We created Talking Truth because we wanted a place to go deeper—a place to take off the mask, feel safe to be ourselves, and realize may all have more in common than we think. And when we meet for the first time on Friday, we meet to celebrate YOU. Because you are worthy. Because you matter. And because you are enough. You are more than enough. We can’t wait to celebrate together and co-create this community with you ❤️ Sign up here to let us know if you can make it: https://lu.ma/a0ampmst

Calling out all media outlets and pollsters: Stop being lazy. Stop ignoring our existence. And don't lump us as “Other” or “All Other Races.” The #AANHPI community is the fastest growing racial and ethnic group in the U.S.- projected to be 10% of the country’s population. Our purchasing power is $1.3T- that’s Trillions. Our vote proved influential in swing states like Georgia in 2020. You might say a margin call. Just because it requires “work” on your part to delve into the diverse #AANHPI community by language, dialect, and culture, it doesn’t excuse you from conducting unrepresentative surveys. Democratize your poll outreach and survey. Delve into our diverse communities. Disseminate the information. Disaggregate the data. Do. The. Work. For the first time in the U.S. history, we have the first SOUTH ASIAN and Black woman Vice President running for POTUS. Shouldn’t we strive to really understand the pulse of our diverse nation? Without inclusive outreach and demographic understanding, polls become pointless. P.S. And while you’re at it, include our #Latino/a community and ALL underrepresented groups. _________ Like my Peloton instructors ask: Yes or Yes? #publicaffairs #governmentrelations #ShastaAdvisory
