One of two pieces I've written for #LandForces2024 in the Australian's Defence Supplement. The importance of tactical reconnaissance strike complexes linking networked swarms of UAVs with long range fires is a key lesson for shaping Army's future force. That will demand greater willingness to lean forward on trusted autonomy, getting humans 'on the loop' rather than 'in the loop', to manage large swarms of autonomous systems and wherever possible, give those autonomous systems greater independence to manage operations through incorporating AI into the systems and networks. Secondly, boosting long-range fires means a greater ability to sustain operations and that in turn demands expanding our defence industrial base to ensure we can undertake sustained high intensity operations in protracted war. Finally, traditional military forces, including tanks and AFVs are not irrelevant in an age of autonomous systems. But they need to evolve and adapt to this future battlespace to survive - otherwise they really will become irrelevant. Tanks and AFVs are no good if they can't survive to deliver decisive effect and support seizing terrain. https://lnkd.in/gfB7BmPi

💥 Our AI-powered K1000ULE Ultra Long Endurance UAS platforms are revolutionizing how we address global issues. For example, in our recent operation in the Americas Pacific with the Joint Pacific Multinational Readiness Center (JPMRC), the K1000ULE was tasked with relaying signals from soldiers carrying TSM® enabled L3Harris radios, connecting squad leaders to division echelons over various Hawian terrains. The K1000ULE's successful performance in the JPMRC further validates its potential to revolutionize communication in challenging environments. Its ability to operate for extended periods, reach remote areas, and overcome terrain obstacles makes it an essential tool for enabling effective communication in diverse scenarios. How the conflict in Ukraine showcases a transformation in warfare through the use of drones and precision munitions, making the battlefield more transparent and fighting more cost-effective. Traditional front lines remain dominated by artillery and close combat, but the real change is behind these lines, where supply chains and logistics are now vulnerable due to advancements in surveillance and targeting technologies. This shift enables forces to achieve "one shot, one kill" efficiency, drastically reducing the cost of military engagements and altering the tactical landscape of warfare.

A brief overview of SKIFTECH's history 📌 ▶️ In 2013, our talented experts received a request from the instructors of the Military Institute of Tank Forces in Kharkiv – to create a solution for military training using laser tag technology. This moment marked the beginning of a crucial direction in our company – military-tech. ▶️ Our first simulator was designed for simulating two-way fire contact for the military using laser technology. This simulator gained recognition among the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and we quickly received orders for training systems for infantry – now one of the most popular simulators in Ukraine. ▶️ Our flagship simulator, the Individual Weapon System for fighters, is utilized to simulate two-way fire contact. It comprises a laser emitter for weapons, a stress belt, a vest, and a helmet equipped with damage sensors. ▶️ Today, SKIFTECH stands as a leading supplier of tactical simulators for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We are actively developing new simulators such as Stinger MANPADS, RPG (rocket-propelled grenade), AGL (automatic grenade launcher, with the western analog being the Mk 19 grenade launcher), SPG (the Swedish analog being the Pvpj 1110), SPAAG (Self-propelled anti-aircraft weapon, with the western analog being the Gepard), and the next generation Individual Weapon System (IWS).
