Gama Construction is thrilled to announce the successful completion of the Global General Secretariat of the Fatwa House project, undertaken under the auspices of Egypt's Dar-Al-Ifta. Spanning a total built-up area of 19,500 square meters, our team delivered a turnkey project, including foundations and dewatering, as well as the skeleton, electromechanical, and finishing works. The project showcases refined Islamic architectural finishes that captivate the eye, especially the 500-seat auditorium designed for mega-events. Despite facing logistical challenges in a crowded location, our team successfully overcame these obstacles. We express our sincere appreciation to our dedicated team, who delivered the project with the utmost commitment to quality standards. #GamaConstruction #GamaProjects #Buildings #QualityStandards #Architecture #Egypt

A 2 km skyscraper? In Saudi Arabia, where else? It is surprising that there are no images of its design, and that so few details of the project have emerged. 25-floor Al Bahar Towers in Abu Dhabi are not only a stunning example of modern architecture, but also a tribute to traditional Arab design. Located at the Eastern entrance of the junction of Al Saada and Al Salam Streets, these towers stand tall in the scorching summer heat of up to 120°F in the UAE's capital city. Thanks to the innovative minds at Aedas Architects and Arup Engineers, the towers boast a unique façade that not only provides shade and reduces solar heat gain, but also pays homage to the rich architectural heritage of the region. This blend of modern technology and traditional design principles is a testament to the creativity and ingenuity of the architects and engineers involved in this project. The Al Bahar Towers serve as a shining example of how architecture and urban planning can come together to create not just buildings, but landmarks that reflect the culture and history of a place. It's projects like these that inspire us to think outside the box and push the boundaries of what is possible in the world of design and construction. #Architecture #UrbanPlanning #InnovativeDesign #AbuDhabi #AlBaharTowers #ArabArchitecture

Think concrete structures require large cooling and heating systems to keep people cool in summer and warm in winter? The truth is: Concrete possesses excellent thermal mass properties, meaning it can absorb, store, and release heat energy over time. This ability to moderate temperature fluctuations can actually reduce reliance on cooling and heating systems in offices and homes. Through smart design and techniques, concrete structures can help keep our interiors cool in hot weather and retain warmth during colder periods! #GoodToKnow: Vandanite has a wealth of knowledge and experience in reinforced concrete structures. Keeping cool in inhospitable climates is a challenge that the whole of the built environment is tackling. Our work on the new National Bank of Kuwait Headquarters Kuwait City, is an example of effective passive design in the desert. Working with architects Foster + Partners on the design, we explored ways of using the structural facade to help to reduce temperatures within the building. An example of this is the giant shading fins that cover the glass facade, protecting the building from the midday Kuwaiti sun while also providing vital structural support. Learn more about this innovative project in The Edit, our annual review: an opportunity to look closely at some of our most impactful projects around the world: https://buro.im/46ImfAk #burohappold #engineering #yearinreview #annualreview #annualreport #consultancy #advisory #builtenvironment #building #advisors #climate

In the bustling metropolis, where concrete jungles dominate the skyline, SL Rasch GmbH emerges as an architectural and specialist contracting firm that transcends traditional paradigms. With an unwavering commitment to coalescing human habitats with the natural world, SL Rasch stands as a testament to the possibility of a symbiotic existence between architecture and nature. Founded in the early 1980s and with vast experience within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, SL Rasch has a vision: not just to create beautiful buildings but also to harmonize them with their natural surroundings in an interdependent relationship. Mustafa Rasch, CEO at SL Rasch, explains: “The philosophy of the company from the beginning was to create architecture that works with nature. Humankind has generally put its constructions ‘onto’ nature, obstructing it massively, and we have all seen the catastrophic results of this, with rising temperatures, deforestation, pollution, and depletion of resources like water. “Our approach or calling is to find the right building form and try to ensure that it can work in harmony with nature. That is a very big challenge; it’s not easy to develop such structures, and I would say it’s an ongoing search, but this is what we’re striving for.” Read the full CEO interview here ▶ https://lnkd.in/euq8SXSf #medina #pilgrimage #ksa #saudiarabia #saudiprojects #construction #architecture #design

What does it mean as a construction company to place a building in today's world? What thoughts are involved, what demands do you place on yourself, what demands do you place on the building? What are the responsibilities towards nature, the people using the construction and the client? What can and should you achieve with structures? Our Managing Director Mustafa Rasch spoke to Saudi Projects about precisely these topics, which concern him and us on a daily basis. Thank you tpg media for the great interview: https://lnkd.in/euq8SXSf In the end, as in many areas of (working) life, it's about making the world more meaningful. For us, it's not just a detached corporate philosophy; it's a philosophy of life. . . #architecture #architecturaldesign #urbandesign #archdaily #architects #construction

Architecture of the future Modern architects in many countries strive to create masterpieces of architectural art by changing the appearance, giving the building various forms, causing aesthetic, spectacular pleasure in humans. In order to reduce the cost of a building, natural and artificial materials are used that have served man for many centuries, such as wood, baked brick, glass, concrete, and so on. These materials are too heavy and prevent the construction of high-rise buildings over 1 km. Humanity has experience in constructing the Burj Khalifa high-rise building with a height of 828 meters. However, the upper floors of this building are for service purposes, not for housing, and it mainly plays a role in attracting public attention to this country. To avoid these difficulties, the architects decided to build a “line city” in Saudi Arabia, located horizontally, 170 km long. All cities are built on the surface of the earth and have common disadvantages, such as being susceptible to natural disasters. In addition, all cities are not protected from invasion by pathogenic microbes and viruses, as proven by the Covid-19 epidemic. All these shortcomings suggest that it is necessary to build a city from light but durable material, isolated from the environment, in order to prevent the penetration of pathogenic microbes and viruses. My project for building a thermos city, “Heavenly Architecture,” meets these requirements. (Linkedin). #архитектура

Cobiax as a problem-solving technology When solid slabs reach their limits, Cobiax shows the way! The depth of the slabs could be reduced considerably, thanks to the use of the Cobiax technology. Whereas the initial construction planning was based on 60 cm ribbed slabs, with Cobiax this could be reduced to 40 cm. The slimmer slab construction also fulfilled the owner’s wish for higher ceilings on the individual floors. PLP Architecture Cobiax® Official Assima Tower in Kuwait City
