One of the things that we touched on in our interview yesterday was the thought that if Tesco only had just 1 Coca Cola bottle, they couldn’t run as a store…Obvious right? Once upon a time, there was only 1 Coca Cola bottle. How did 1 turn into the hundreds of billions now sold every year? Well…through factories, immense marketing strategies, innovative ideas, and most importantly, collaboration. It’s the same with music. You see, it’s all well and good putting days, weeks, months into producing & promoting that one track you just want to make “perfect” on your own, but having a team behind you sparks more creativity, input and ideas, leading to a more advanced piece of work and better promotion and results. Co-Founder of Apple, Steve Jobs once said “The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.” So as we approach the second half of the year, whatever it is you want to achieve, grab some mates, collaborate and generate innovative ideas. Starbucks excels at incorporating storytelling and fostering human connection in their advertisements… They achieve this by ensuring RELATABILITY. ⭐ Specifically, in their "Every Table Has a Story" ad, Starbucks employs three strategies to craft a relatable narrative that resonates emotionally with viewers: - Highlighting Habits: If you're a Starbucks customer, chances are you've spent time at one of their locations working or studying while enjoying a cup of coffee. Instantly, Starbucks establishes a sense of relatability and connection by allowing viewers to envision themselves in the shoes of the customer portrayed on screen. - Creating a Relatable Struggle: The ad portrays a customer facing challenges in her job application process. Visibly frustrated and on the verge of tears, she experiences a setback that many can empathize with – the feeling of discouragement and self-doubt. This relatable struggle adds depth to the narrative. - Emphasizing Consistency: The theme of consistency runs throughout the ad, depicting the woman's determination to overcome job-search obstacles. Despite setbacks, she returns the next day with renewed motivation. Starbucks uses this theme not only to symbolize the woman's hard work, struggles, and perseverance but also to convey the idea that, no matter the challenges in one's professional life, Starbucks remains a reliable place for work, goal achievement, and a comforting cup of coffee. 📣 The stranger sees only what he knows - African proverb 🔎 The proverb going very far to history but very up to date today, in the world where we connect across continents and cultures in few seconds. 🔎 The proverb which inspires us to be humble and motivated to learn about cultures in our teams, cultures of our customers, cultures of our neighbours,... The proverb describing one important characteristic of human perception which is causing problems for people trying to understand a different culture. We unconsciously primarily pay attention to those elements of the other culture that are already familiar to us and miss out on a large number of learning opportunities to understand values, behaviors and truths hidden behind our home culture filters. #culture #projectamanagement #hospitality #sales #marketing

Certainly not the first time someone needed an apology redo. But Kyte Baby founder, CEO Ying Liu should have gone with her gut the first time. Apology 1 was criticized for being too legalistic, too scripted. Guess what? It’s important for Legal to be involved and good practice to have some key messages worked out. But one has to lead, think ahead, be authentic, sincerely represent the corporate culture, and protect its reputation. One topic that I am always passionate about is Company Culture, especially for post military service and fear falling into a or another toxic culture. Two of the questions that I was asked while I answered questions while on the panel were: 1. What is the culture like at BTS? 2. What are a few of the key attributes to be successful at BTS? I speak from the heart as I answer these two questions and always provide my own personal experiences. I used to drive 87 miles on way to get to the office for almost three years, and I looked forward to it. The CEO, COO and Staff are genuine and sincere, always happy to see them. I was amazed when the CEO and COO followed up with me about our daughter's orchestra concert to see how she did and ask to see the pictures and videos. Once I was asked the key attributes question, I immediately thought back to how genuine the company is. In our line of work, what other attributes will help you stand out and succeed. a. Honesty & Integrity b. Sincerity c. Heart Generally, we all know the "KSA's" of our job. (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities) These are always a given. Honesty and Integrity are important to lay a bridge and build a foundation of trust within the community, companied and colleagues. The leadership always appreciates sincere answers, not just "lip service". They do not believe in Band-Aids for problems and issues, they want what is right, a way ahead, and to ensure that everyone is "good to go" and has what is required and needed. We all can teach, train, and learn new things; but you cannot teach someone Heart. Putting your heart into your work will set you apart and put you above the pack. Truly proud of this Company, and Yes, we were born and forged before the K-Pop band.
