Hey there, so I'm preparing for my upcoming Avatars in e-learning webinar with Training magazine happening in about two hours. The registration link is in the comments, and if you're seeing it after that time has passed, no worries, you can still go to that link because they'll post the recording there and I'll be talking about how different types of avatars can really elevate the level and the engagement of an e-learning course. But here I am for something else. I'm working on this. Very interesting. Yeah, activity to show in the webinar and I thought I'd give you a sneak peek for it, so take a look. Sharing my screen. OK, So what we're doing in this activity is we're giving the power of defining the avatar directly to the learners. The learners can choose whatever they want. So we start and we are using AI ready here to connect our story line file to an AI chatbot and. Because I'm showing it for two different people, I've chosen two different type of courses. We could pick either one of them. Let's say we pick pharma compliance for now and we let the learner here define their avatar. What kind of person do they want to work on with on this course? But they could also pick from one of various predefined random avatars we have chosen. And what I've done there here is on this random button it executes a JavaScript which chooses between one of five different predefined avatars. But I could just pick one and then say instead of. This the learner could. Change anything here. Now let's say we are happy with this avatar. We say hello. And what's going to happen is now a is going to respond in the profile that the learner has selected as their body. Right. So. Yeah. This is Taylor responding. And let's say now throughout the course I have some questions. In this case we we have a drop down. You could choose question one or two or you could have your own question and write it. Let's say we pick question one. We could ask this from Taylor, right? And now Taylor is going to respond and I'll just put this cute GIF here as as we wait for the AI to respond, it's probably not what I put in a actual pharma compliance course. But here you are. Right, and this is the answer that. Taylor has given What's interesting to see here is that the content essentially remains the same, but the style, the delivery changes based on the avatar you have chosen. And that is where a lot of user agency comes in. Let's try this one more time. And this time I'm going to pick somebody else. Let's pick Alex, who is a seasoned professional brimming with energy and enthusiasm. And we say hello to Alex. We ask a question and you will see the same user interface, the same programming. Now we are using for a completely different course and that is the beauty. Of AI, and in this case I haven't given it any specific subject matter knowledge, but I could have so that it would respond exactly the way the source content is and. Uh needs to be told. And there you are and you would see that the the style, the language has really changed because now instead of Taylor, who, who was your sort of buddy, now you are speaking to Alex who is a seasoned professional. And different avatars might appeal to different learners. And now we have a real shot at personalizing the course for our learners. Hope you enjoyed more in the webinar. I hope to see you there.
