Happy Friday! Popping in with a few reminders when it comes to teaching #yogainschools and #kidsyoga in general! When I was in the classroom, I always had to remind myself that it was okay if my classroom felt “messy” compared to traditional classes. Which of these reminders is most helpful to you? Pure Yoga - Senior Yoga Teacher, Level 4 Yoga NZ, Yoga Alliance, U.S. YACEP® .Premium Yoga Trainings & retreats & Teachers Trainings in NZ, Bali and India.
Extending students beyond 2 - 3 yoga sessions a week is challenging. When students arrive to a Teachers Training there is so much to unpack and unravel for them that its no wonder the first few days its 'stunned deer in the headlights'. Here's three things I've learned over leading Teachers Trainings so far... 1. Even if students come from varied backgrounds, perceptions, teachers, styles, brands and knowledge its in the realm of experience that they will best learn and figure things out. 2. Trust the process - guiding others in yogic education is all about meeting them where they are at, finding your common ground of understanding & using that to plan and adapt subsequent sessions. You want the info to land so pitch is important. 3. Education - understanding that the root of this is to bring forth or bring out a persons potentials and strengths that can be utilised to build a sustainable, adaptable self practice and a meaningful pathway to support others. Every moment both formal, informal, from the way you set the tone of the learning environment will contribute to their learning in some way. Even the moments when your not looking at them. There's a lot to unpack here but here are some initial thoughts to begin with.

Super Feedback from one of our Course Trainee: This amazing lady I am grateful to count on our course members is retraining as a primary school teacher, Here is the feedback she provided today ----- I am genuinely enjoying my training with Yogamoo! and am determined to complete the course to the best of my ability. I have been working through the Modules. I am reading appropriate texts, continue to practise daily yoga and meditation and am digesting the course contents. I have taught 12 x 45-minute Children's Yoga Classes (6 classes with Year 3 & 6 classes with Year 4). The feedback from class teachers and pupils has been very positive and as a result I have been asked to do the same with Y6 & Y5 in June. ------------------------ Thats absolutely fantastic teaching practice and feedback from her new primary school. Primary schools really welcome help with wellbeing, mindfulness, and exercise. There is only so much wellbeing you can 'teach' - In the end it is about taking actions and signing up to doing activities that boost wellbeing. You do not need to know Yoga or be a Mindfulness expert to get involved. We can help you acquire news skills https://lnkd.in/e-VmrCk7 #educationandschools #educatorwellbeing #wellbeing #headteacher #teachers #teacher #headteachers #educatorwellbeing #kindyteacher #KS1 #mindfulkids #mindfulness #KS2 #sustainabilityreporting #sustainabilityeducation

Exams can turn even the coolest cucumber into a nervous wreck. Don't worry, we've all been there. But listen up, here's how to be a test-taking zen master: Forget last-minute cramming (trust me!), these tips are all about staying calm during the exam. Do you feel stressed? Deep breaths are your BFF. Would you be stuck on a question? Channel your inner yoga master with some quiet stretches (discreetly, of course). Most importantly, ditch the "I'm gonna fail" freak-out and replace it with "I got this!" on repeat. Remember, everyone gets exam jitters. But with a little strategy and self-belief, you'll be crushing those questions like a boss! For students with special needs, movement can be an essential tool for learning. Engaging in physical activities can help improve focus, attention, and overall cognitive function. So, parents and teachers, let's make movement a part of every learning session! Try incorporating short dance breaks, sensory activities, or even adaptive yoga poses. You'll be amazed at how much more engaged and successful your students can be when they have the opportunity to move and learn. Remember, every child deserves the chance to thrive. Let's create inclusive learning environments that support both academic and physical development. #WellnessWednesday #InclusiveEducation #MovementForLearning #SeeTheAbleNotTheLabel #SpecialNeedsFamilies #SpecialEducation
