Second in a series: This weekend I watched a webinar that was released by Breastcancer.org depicting four breast cancer doctors who were also breast cancer survivors. They were asked to provide what they felt was the most important advice to patients who were also breast cancer patients or survivors. They had advice for those who were recently diagnosed as well as how to navigate cancer survivorship. I am going to feature one of their 15 points each day beginning July 1st. I hope you will follow this important blog! Here is the link to the entire webinar: https://lnkd.in/ect7MjaH Point Number 2: Build trust with your medical team. Be a partner. Doctors are not offended if you seek a second opinion! https://lnkd.in/ee2NckS7

Breast cancer remains the most prevalent form of cancer in Indonesia, accounting for 19.2% of all cancer cases. Despite advancements in early detection and treatment, the proportion of breast cancer patients seeking medical attention in the late stages (stage III and IV) has hardly improved over the past three decades. Recent data from several teaching hospitals shows that 68-73% of patients still present with late-stage breast cancer.
