A non-professional "Accountant" in a contractual capacity with over 30 years of experience in "Auditing" who has been providing "accountancy services" to your current employer for years prior to your 2 years there as a Professional Accountant. This non-professional with inappropriate bookkeeping skills produces incorrect and incomplete financial statements from the accounting system. The Professional Accountant who for the last two years has significantly been assisting in cleaning up that mess from QBs that an audited position can now be produced is now the subject and victim of scurrilous and gaslighting activities, conduct and behavior in DM and print inside/outside the organization by this non-professional who is now your senior in a contractually employed capacity. Question: What should this Professional Accountant ethically do to keep his promise made to one of the directors overwhelmingly impressed with the progress thus far?
