#SouthSideDrive has once again provided #enlightenment #relevant to #Chicago's #AfricanX community, as only it does; due to the very #Awoke #Leadership of #Publisher, #YvetteMoyo. #ArtHeals is a truth proven by both the #BioSciences + the #SocialSciences, by means of countless research studies over several decades. This cover art of the current issue of South Side Drive, shows an intrinsically valuable nuance of the AfricanX community, #Globally! What we see hear is a wonderful depiction our very own #AfricanX version of #GenerationalWealth, in the form of powerful #Griot #StoryTelling, which has enabled US to not just #Survive, but also #Thrive, in a #EuroCentric #Society hell bent on keeping us from doing; to feed a voracious #whitesupremacist #Greed for #profit and #power at the #expense of US #AfricanDos and #Africanas! Consider the depth + breath of the historical story being told. We have an renowned local Media hero, #MonroeAnderson's, photograph of his sons, honoring the family's #BRILLIANTLY #Artistically #Gifted #Matriarch, #JoyceOwens, a #Yale graduate, by flanking, the portrait she created of her #Dapper, #GreatGrandFather, whose style any of us men would proudly emulate. Talk about Storytelling worth #Gold!!!
Publisher @ South Side Drive Magazine, Co-Founder/CEO, Real Men Charities and Real Men Cook, 2023 Leader for a new Chicago, CEO The Quarry Event venue, arts destination hub.
What an honor to pay tribute to the Monroe Anderson family with this cover of our South Side Drive Magazine’s Priority Health Month issue. Having recently lost his wife, the brilliant artist, teacher, and mother, Joyce Owens to Alzheimer’s Disease, Monroe photographed their sons flanking a rendering by their mother while a student at Yale, of her great grandfather. #SouthSideDrive #artheals #priorityhealthmonth www.SouthSideDriveMag.com

“Knowing that you're involved in these communities and being a part of these partnerships is very important. And the community is a big part of selling yourself and being a part of that sale.” Snap a photo, share your story, and highlight your involvement in local events and causes on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram. 📸 Every post you share can strengthen your connection to potential customers and their networks. Position your brand as a symbol of community and care. In our latest episode of Ignite, we chatted with Alysha Wilkins-Smith, Director of Marketing for Home Health & Hospice at Medical Services of America about the stigma surrounding serious illness management. This MG Awareness Month, #TeamUCB marks the strength of the myasthenia gravis community. We amplify the voices of patients and their caregivers living with this rare, chronic neuromuscular disease. It was exciting to accompany Kathi to the TV set of Behind The Mystery: Myasthenia Gravis. It really was an immersive experience to be in-person and in-studio on the set of Behind The Mystery: Myasthenia Gravis. We take a moment to honor the lived experiences of patients and caregivers. No one is truly alone in facing the challenges of this rare disease. Join us in increasing support and advocacy for people living with myasthenia gravis. AND no, we did not plan that color coordination. #MGstrong #MG #myastheniagravis #raredisease #BehindTheMystery #RareDiseaseAwareness

Alzheimer's Impact Movement Leadership Society / Alzheimer's Ambassador Third District CT/ CT Chapter Advocacy Committee / New Haven Walk To End Alzheimer's Planning Committee/ Board of Managers Hamden/North Haven YMCA
BIG news! In conjunction with the Connecticut State Police, we're proud to introduce “Bring Me Back Home” (BMBH), a new registry for Connecticut residents that allows law enforcement access to information to help find people who are missing or wandering, and bring them back to safety and to loved ones. We know that 6 in 10 people living with Alzheimer’s or another form of dementia will wander. BMBH is a proactive approach, offering first responders quick access to an array of relevant information that will help them search for and connect with the person who is missing. Families are encouraged to learn more and register their loved ones at ct.gov/BMBH. As dementia progresses, the need for a comprehensive safety plan becomes vital. To learn more about wandering and other concerns that may arise, visit alz.org/safety. See less
