This piece by Alexandra Samuel is quite funny but also highlights a real problem when it comes to how businesses design the customer experience. Chatbots have the potential to make the customer experience better, but with how they are often utilised, they are more often an inconvenience, failing to provide adequate support or pushing interactions when they aren't wanted. The idea of a customer chatbot to deal with company bots is funny, but also betrays an unfortunate truth: if these tools are eliciting these types of reactions, then companies are obviously doing something wrong.
