Making an Impact We arrived in Paris yesterday and did the #1 item our kids wanted to do first: go to the Eiffel Tower. Our guide told us that the tower was created as part of the 1889 World’s Fair in Paris, a symbolic year as it was the 100th anniversary of the Revolution. France wanted to create the largest structure in the world as part of the Fair, which became the Eiffel Tour. 150 people worked with Gustave Eiffel over 2 years to create. The Eiffel Tower was the world’s largest structure for 41 years. When you think of Paris, the Eiffel Tower is still probably the most iconic landmark most people think of. Think about the economic impact of this structure and it’s ability to attract people from all over the world to visit Paris and France, including us. Several nations have commenced construction on their own pavilions in recent months.
