🚗 🚀 The Municipality of Postojna has teamed up with some of the top mobility companies to revolutionize public transport in Postojna and its surroundings. 🌍 Through the ArtMED project, we're developing strategic mobility solutions for challenges in sparsely populated areas. In order to create a sustainable and inclusive public transport system, we’ll be introducing on-demand transport services. 💡 🤝 We recently met with Porsche Slovenija and Nomago d.o.o. to align our goals and develop strategies for implementing the pilot on-demand transport service. 📈 Sustainability is key, and we're committed to ensuring the project's long-term success. 🌱 🚌 👨👩👧👦 Within the project, we’ll be focusing on addressing the needs of parents with children who have extracurricular activities in Postojna but live on the outskirts of the town. Together towards MaaS! To promote sustainable combimobility, the Departement Mobiliteit en Openbare Werken - Vlaamse overheid is working on Mobility as a Service (MaaS) in Flanders. MaaS gives users access to multimodal transport solutions with greater user-friendliness, putting the end user at the centre. But organising mobility is a complex task. Users want control and reliability, but also freedom and flexibility. For this, the department needs reliable apps and agreements with providers and all MaaS actors. A full-fledged MaaS ecosystem, as it were. They are on the lookout for international knowledge sharing and cooperation to ensure combimobility reaches far beyond our own borders. 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐢𝐫 𝐌𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐈𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐲🌐 I had the pleasure of participating in the Global Advanced Air Mobility Forum (𝐆𝐀𝐀𝐌𝐅) 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒, an event that marked a turning point for the future of air mobility. This forum brought together industry leaders, regulators, and innovators from around the world to shape the future of electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft and emerging technologies. During the event, I had the opportunity to present the significant progress Italy has made in the field of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM). It was inspiring to share our country’s innovative initiatives with an international audience. However, it became clear that 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐀𝐌 𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐮𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐚𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬. This challenge requires a strategic approach on multiple fronts: - 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: The integration of new technologies depends on flexible regulations developed through open and constructive dialogue with public administrations. - 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬: It is essential to involve local communities in the decision-making process to build trust and active support, ensuring that the proposed solutions truly meet the needs of the territory. - 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Clear and continuous dialogue with citizens and stakeholders is key to facilitating acceptance and adoption of innovations, breaking down barriers, and building consensus. 𝐋𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝, it is clear that the success of advanced air mobility in Italy depends on our ability to overcome these challenges and build continuous dialogue with all stakeholders. Our commitment must be to work together to turn these cutting-edge technologies into practical solutions that enhance the lives of people and communities.
