It was a powerful start to our school year during this morning’s Opening Day Ceremony! 🤩
We began with a student performance and video, grounded our year’s work in Dr. Malik Muhammad’s formula for change and celebrated staff reaching milestone years of service— a collective 2,043 years at GC! The 2024-25 school year is officially underway!
It’s not too late to join our Spartan family. Visit gateschili.org/jobs to see our open positions!
3 ideas that will make quitting your job less awkward.
- 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀: If you gave everything (or more) that you were paid for, you already fulfilled your duties.
- 𝗢𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: If you gave your employer the opportunity keep you in the organization by paying you better and recognize your contribution, and they did not act on time, you already fulfilled your duties.
- 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗨𝗽𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗼𝘄𝗻𝘀: If you helped the company in the high and low moments without asking anything in exchange, you already fulfilled your duties.
If you answered yes to these 3 sentences, you are emotionally free to pursue better conditions and opportunities for yourself.
A ‘no” to any, of all, of those lines won’t stop you to go to another place, but you might face some remorse for not giving your best to your team and your employer.
Furthermore, having the certainty that you did everything you needed to do and more, is almost a recipe to leave the doors open (because you never know).
Start checking these ideas today, don’t wait until you are leaving your job to see if you’ve done your best.

Woah! I am doing my best to keep up with all the DMs I've received expressing interest in the two roles we're hiring for at Ghlee (we love to see it!). However, as I, and every Advisor at Bloom, know a lot of talented folks, we do not entertain coffee chats, direct referrals, or "my friend applied, and I want to put in a good word" conversations outside of the interview process to mitigate bias.
As much as I would love to talk about the role, founders, or the products (which I adore and use daily ✨), we want to sustain a consistent and fair interview process (for every applicant) and do everything in our power to limit unnecessary bias from entering the interview process.
So, we encourage you to apply directly. You'll hear back from Agnes Tseng within two weeks of applying.
To answer some of the questions I've been getting about the opportunities, I wrote a blog post to share some additional context and details. You can read it here: https://lnkd.in/gy2iPXa4
