Celebrate more victories! I used to think everyone likes celebrations. I mean who doesn't, right? Getting together, partying, clicking pictures, being ecstatic etc. But then I myself got to a point where I stopped celebrating. Asking, "Is this even worth celebrating?" hindered my mind. Because of this, I stopped seeing how far I had come as I was always looking for how far I had to go. Then I saw the same pattern around my people, my team and I realised that this has to change! This is when me & my colleague started the Party Planning Committee (PPC). We started celebrating birthdays, successful major deployments, team outings etc. People started celebrating too! Professional and Personal milestones. And now it has become a norm. We work, we celebrate. Simple. In this photo, our client team and we are celebrating one such much-awaiting victory. This was post a major, major requirement that involved multiple teams, stakeholders and management decisions. How often do you celebrate? If you’re like me, there’s so much to do and think about that it’s easy to skip the little wins and just focus on celebrating when we reach the destination. Here’s what I’ve learned though: The celebrations along the way are a lot more important. They build morale for the journey. They build loyalty for the team. They build confidence for the challenges to come. They establish patterns for longevity. They build a culture for noticing when people do great work and helping others repeat it on purpose. When we find moments to celebrate along the way, we encourage the work and behaviors that ultimately move us toward our destination. So the question is: Who can you celebrate this week?

How often do you celebrate the little wins at work? We’re all running so fast toward big goals that we forget to stop and celebrate the moments that get us there. But here’s the truth: waiting for the “big win” is exhausting. It’s the small wins—the ones we often overlook—that keep us going. Think about the last time your team hit a milestone or solved a challenging problem. Did you take a moment to celebrate, or was it straight to the next task? What if those moments of recognition and celebration could recharge your team’s energy and remind them why they love what they do? Celebrations don’t have to be grand. A heartfelt thank-you, a shared creative activity, or even a toast at the end of the week can make a world of difference. When’s the last time you paused to celebrate?

What are you celebrating from 2024? It's easy to focus on things that did not go as planned. It is easy to highlight failures or missed goals, but what are you celebrating? What did you crush! Can you find anything? Take time and ask yourself what amazing thing or things you did this year. We still have one month left. Do something and then celebrate yourself. It could be waking up and taking a shower and it could be choosing to exit a toxic relationship. What's your celebration source?

Different, scared, unsure - this is where I started. During Pride Month, I want to celebrate "being at home with myself." It was quite a journey to get here. First, I knew I was different but didn't understand what it was (I was 5). Then, I started to understand but pushed it away. Later, I knew what it was but didn't know how to talk about it. Then I tried to talk about it, but it was too scary. Eventually, it wasn't that scary, but I had concerns. Finally, slowly but surely, it became okay to be who I am and to talk about it. I'm sure you understand: We all have parts of ourselves that we need to accept. Maybe you're on that journey of acceptance now. I have only one piece of advice: Be kind to yourself. Even if others are not, you be kind to you. 🌈 ____________ ♻️ Spread the love and repost! 📌 Follow me to make intentional changes at work and in life

Why are we bad at celebrating? Celebrating has become a lost art. Often, we're immediately moving onto the next goal, achievement, or project without pausing to reflect on how far we've come. This never-ending cycle can leave us anxious, depressed, and burnt out. Taking the time to celebrate is imperative to fostering a mindset of gratitude in all things. Celebrating achievements fuels motivation and creates a healthier mindset for everyone. Hear more about how to celebrate well ➡️ https://lnkd.in/gg3tXHHH

Why do we celebrate anniversaries? Simply put: because they remind us of our joy. I am lucky to have so many moments that mark my joyous path. When my medical transition began five years ago, I knew there would be hardships ahead. However, embracing my authenticity, externally and internally, remains such a source of joy that it hovers on the edge of the unimaginable. This, with no makeup, no filters, and a work t-shirt is what 5 years of true happiness in myself has brought me. Yet, there are those who seek to deny this joy to future generations. No one’s happiness in being themselves should ever be perceived as a threat. Robbing others of their joy is not only unjust but fundamentally wrong. As rights and opportunities to embrace this joy are being rolled back locally across the country and proposed for national restriction, we still hold a powerful tool: our vote. Use your power to stand for joy. Vote for the freedom to be oneself and for the enduring joy that comes from living authentically. Vote for joy.

What Will You Celebrate This Week? Each week, we grind away countless hours in our work, often returning home feeling drained and with little left in the tank. While we readily share our frustrations and feelings of overwhelm about the myriad tasks we haven’t completed, we often overlook the importance of acknowledging our accomplishments—especially the small ones. Within us lies a fountain of inspiration and motivation. We can tap into it by taking a moment to reflect on what we have achieved, what we did well, and how we overcame challenges. Yet, we often wait for external validation from others or dismiss our achievements as too ordinary or mundane to celebrate. As a result, we grind into the next week without pausing to recognize our progress. At the end of today, give yourself a moment to ask: - What did I accomplish this week? (Remember, it doesn’t have to be a monumental achievement; even small victories matter.) - How will I celebrate what I accomplished? (This could be a personal treat or something you share with someone else.) - What worked? What didn’t? What will I do differently or change next week? (Use this as an opportunity to learn and foster personal growth.) Much love, Charles
