𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁... 𝟭𝟱 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗬𝗼𝗿𝗸'𝘀 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗦𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗲 When was the last time you did something for the first time—especially something as absurdly simple and unexpectedly enlightening as taking over Times Square for 15 seconds? I did last week thanks to a quirky app called TSX. Why, you ask, would someone with zero target audience in New York do this? Let's just say, I've come to appreciate the unconventional paths to gaining new insights. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝟭𝟱-𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 The decision was impulsive, fueled by a mix of curiosity and a "why not?" attitude. The TSX app promised a takeover of Times Square, and they delivered. For just $40. That's right, less than a fancy dinner for a slice of the most iconic advertising pie in the world. I got my moment under the neon lights. The rules were simple : keep it clean, keep it friendly, and no traditional sales pitch. This was about making a statement, not a sale. And there it was—my face, larger than life, beaming down at the bustling crowd below. I couldn't help but laugh, wondering if this was the most efficient use of $40 ever or a hilarious misstep. It was surreal, exhilarating, profoundly simple, and over before I could say "Bagel". 𝗔 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 In a world obsessed with the next big thing, what's the takeaway from this blink-and-you-miss-it adventure? It's that sometimes, the most profound experiences come in the smallest packages. And to the CEOs out there, constantly wrestling with mission statements, consider this: if Times Square can deliver a promise with clarity and flair in just 15 seconds, what's stopping you? In a world that loves to complicate, maybe it's time to embrace the art of simplicity. Kudos to TSX Entertainment for not just talking the talk but walking the walk—stellar execution, indeed. So, in the spirit of brevity and wit, I'll leave you with this : If your company's essence were a billboard, what epic, unforgettable message would you blast across Times Square? 😀 We want diverse boards, mixed committees and different perspectives. Because we believe that better results can be achieved this way. Wait… we don't just believe that, it's proven! Studies show that content-related discussions are more intensive in diverse teams. 🧗🏾♂️Imagine yourself sitting down with people bringing different perspectives to the table. It's quite a tedious discussion sometimes, isn't it? You think you've got the problem well understood and a solution in sight. But then completely different, unexpected ideas come up and - poof - the beautiful solution no longer looks so great. So back to Square 1. 💡You think. But it’s not. Square 1 would be back to the starting point, which has led to the linear and well-trodden path. The change in perspective is not back to the start, it’s: Forward to Square X! Forward to an idea which was not even on the radar yet and which at first might feel like a detour. And it probably is one – in your own head. 🔍But hey, maybe there's something new to discover? Something that could make the solution even better? The only way is to take a closer look, explore, weigh it up and sound it out. Of course a decision is needed. But isn't an informed decision always the better one? 👍🏼So if we don't just want solutions that represent the lowest common denominator, but solutions that are the better fit; if we don't just want to say diversity, but live it – then we need more openness and more (factual) debate, more respect and more willingness to find joint solutions. 💪🏾In other words: Real diversity means encouraging other voices and living out debate. 🪄 For companies and organizations, this means not only promoting factual diversity (achieving the KPIs at the various levels), but also living diversity and being honest about the hard work that comes with the value add. Embrace it and think forward to Square X!

After nearly 9 years leading this great company from a largely Benelux oriented business, to the European online leader in personalized photo products it is today, it’s time for me to step aside and hand over the reins to a new CEO, Alessandro Coppo. And what a journey it’s been. Now 5 times larger, made possible through an incredibly talented team, a combination of organic growth, multiple acquisitions and integrations, a carve out from our prior shareholder Cimpress and an industry leading merger between albelli and Photobox Group. All part of a journey to bring 9 unique consumer brands on to a single group platform. As I shared with the team recently, this has been my absolute favorite company and role during my entire career: It all starts with having a product that brings such joy to millions of customers, something we witness on a daily basis; a highly collaborative and very international culture, fueled with heart, joy, passion, curiosity and drive; and a team so committed to the mission. None of this would have been possible without a great team and financial partners. I’d like to thank my leadership team, Leon Kerckhaert, Efrat Konforty Keijzer, Kai Schindler, Gordon Brophy, David Jensen, Steven Clausing, Michele Swaine, and Andreas Otto. Our PE financial partners Rivean Capital and Exponent along with a Supervisory Board who have always supported our strategy and long term vision (with healthy and constructive challenge!). And of course my wife, Viola De Bellis, who has stood by me through this challenging, yet exciting journey. Announcing the new company group name, “Storio” last Thursday, was the culmination of more than 12 months work, encompassing our vision, mission, purpose, EVP, values and new company name, that now solidifies albelli-Photobox Group as One Company. It was my privilege to announce the new company name and a very fitting moment to hand over the leadership as Storio group embarks on its next exciting chapter. What’s next for me? I will take the next 6 months off, focusing on family and personal matters before thinking about how I can leverage my experience in support of things I feel passionate about. Thank you team for such a fun journey, all the stories, the adventures, the joy, the opportunities, the challenges faced and overcome. But most of all, for the great camaraderie and commitment to the vision. Storio has a bright future ahead! Launching a creative studio at 20 came with a steep learning curve. But 7 years in, I feel like I’ve gathered some pretty solid tips of the trade. The most important? Your team is everything. At SixTwentySix, we’ve put a huge amount of effort into building a team that trusts each other and has each other’s back. From Day 1, we make it clear that: • Every voice matters. It’s not about about roles or titles; it about best ideas. • Feedback is essential for growth, and should be a two-way street. • Amazing work is recognized and rewarded. When one person achieves a milestone, the whole team celebrates it. • We give freedom to fail. Austin and I are the first to admit that we’ve tried a lot of things that didn't work out. That's not a bad thing – it means we're evolving and pushing boundaries. Any other under-30 leaders out there want to share their journey? I’d love to hear from you.

Exciting news & quick story time 📣 I’m thrilled to announce my recent move into the Marketing Manager position at Swell Partners! 😊 The work is so exciting, and I genuinely look forward to each new challenge. While thinking about what to share in this post, a recent exchange with our CEO, Cari Gatto, came to mind. A couple of weeks ago, after a few consecutive fumbles, I openly acknowledged an area where I could improve. I loved her response and was surprised at just how much it struck me. "Square pegs don't fit in round holes," she said. And that she wasn’t in the business of making them do so. This resonated with me on a deep level. I often exist in spaces that hold up a mirror to my "squareness." I have been labeled as "sassy and aggressive" rather than brave and confident, marginalized based on my economic status, and confronted with outright racism and misogyny. Cari's reassurance meant more than she probably realized. As a proud Cuadrado, I've always embraced being a 𝘴𝘲𝘶𝘢𝘳𝘦. I'm grateful to work in a place that values and celebrates this. In a world where we've all felt the pressure to conform, I imagine many can relate to the journey of finding their place in the workplace.
