That could be gala dinners, it could be training sessions, as well as corporate retreats and away days. It’s things where you have a lot of people congregating and you want to capture the feel and the dynamism in the event so it means that for next year you can increase bookings or those once-in-a-lifetime ones, where it really captures people in a room together that wouldn’t normally be together. Over the years it’s been great to see the evolution of event photography and that in the past, it was very much a photo booth station and that’s kind of it. Whereas nowadays, we still do a really nice lighting set-up for the start of the event but equally we spend more time out in the crowds, engaging with people and getting pictures a little bit more relaxed and a little bit more of them having fun rather than staged photos. This one's for #eventphotographers and #eventorganisers alike. I've just switched to a new delivery platform called Pixieset and I've been so pleased with it. Here's why: 1) It looks and feels good. My previous platform was clunky and difficult for clients to manage. A Pixieset gallery looks cool and is easy to navigate on both mobile and desktop. 2) Download reports. A few weeks after an event I can send the organisers a report showing who downloaded which photos. My clients like to see their guests appreciating the photos and that they're getting value from my services. 3) Clients can order prints directly. This is great for conferences and weddings. Conference speakers love having a picture of their moment of glory sitting on their desks! 4) I can offer clients watermarks. This means downloaded images will carry a discrete reminder of what a great job the event organisers did and remind guests to book again next year! 5) Lots of other great little features: access and downloads can be password protected; delivery email templates; multiple folder options, etc. 6) Brilliant customer service! I really get the feeling that their staff are on my side. They've replied to questions really quickly, constructively and in detail.
