Petition to Parliament: Petition EN6106 - Australia to cut off all Diplomatic relations with Israel. The petition is open for collecting signatures until the signature closing date. Petitions are open for collecting signatures for four weeks from the date of certification by the Committee. Petition Reason Reasons for the Petition: The ongoing violence and oppression against Palestinians by the Israeli government violate fundamental human rights principles. The disproportionate use of force, illegal settlements, and blockade of Gaza have resulted in immense suffering and loss of life. Our nation should not support regimes engaged in such violations. Action Requested: We urge the Prime Minister to take a principled stand against the Israeli government's actions by severing diplomatic ties, ending military support, and condemning human rights abuses in Palestine. https://lnkd.in/ggtAWfGv.

This post is not about trees. It's about war. But it's a statement that must be made to avoid hypocrisy. I have a petition to the Australian House of Representatives that has been approved by the Petitions Committee and is now open for signatures. The request: "I publicly condemn the killing of children in Gaza by Israel and call on the House to do the same.” https://lnkd.in/gdS8N3ZR And here, for consistency, is that statement of condemnation. Just wars require just cause and just conduct. Israel's cause may be just, but its conduct is not. As political theorist Michael Walzer argues in his book Just and Unjust Wars: “…even enemy civilians, over whom sovereignty is not claimed, are the responsibility of attacking armies, whenever those armies adopt strategies that put civilians at risk.” [1] Israel should limit civilian casualties where it can. But it is clear from the civilian death toll in Gaza that they are not. [2] The unnecessary killing of civilians, particularly children, must be condemned. The humanitarian bar could not be set any lower. [1] https://lnkd.in/ghAxzQ2H [2] https://lnkd.in/guzA2FWH

We are conditioned by the media and “experts” into fearing a new world war between the west and “the rest”. It might come true, who knows.. It is certainly fought by proxy as we speak. But, what we have been facing the last year appears as a far more confusing phenomenon. On a surface level it appears as nations fighting for territorial control. There’s truth to that, but not enough to explain the international situation and tensions we are experiencing. We’ve been witnessing a global warfare against morality, targeting ethical principles of truth, justice, civic duty and freedom - or humanity if you will. Instead of traditional war between allied and hostile nations, a new form of world war has emerged where national authorities, MSM and corporate management across the world suddenly have decided to oppress and dehumanize their own citizens in sync as a global choir. As the citizens of this world, we are fighting against global imperialism, fascism, technological surveillance, censorship, manipulation and control. To loose this battle is not a choice. Survival of the wealthy, and might is right, has never been a success story. Quite the contrary. How we care for others is the crucial variable in any healthy society. Power will always rest with you and me. The people. And we are rising.

🇬🇧🇺🇳 Former British diplomat Craig Murray at the United Nations: “Not only is the West complicit in the Genocide in Palestine, the ruling class of the West is so scared of its own citizens that it is now prepared to persecute its own citizens in support of a genocide”.

Proud to have endorsed the submission by International Legal Scholars against Genocide to the Australian Senate Review of Australia’s Sanctions Regime. The submissions argues that: ➡ Australia’s Sanctions Regime Must Be Reoriented towards the Key Objective of Promoting Fundamental Principles of International Law, in particular the Right of All Peoples to Self-Determination ➡ Australia’s Sanction Regime Must Recognise Additional Core Peremptory Norms of International Law within its Serious Violations or Serious Abuses of Human Rights Thematic Sanctions Regime ➡ Australia’s Sanctions Regime Must Interpret the Right to Life Consistent with International Jurisprudence, including to Encompass Fundamental Violations of the Genocide Convention ➡ There has been a systemic failure of Australia’s sanctions regime to sanction the State of Israel, including military and Security Forces and its Political and Military Leadership, for the Creation, Enforcement and Continued Maintenance of its Illegal Occupation of Palestine and its conduct in Gaza, particularly since October 2023 The submission was authored by Jessica Whyte and Sara Dehm, and was endorsed by over 40 academics and researchers with relevant expertise in the above-listed areas based at Australian universities. https://lnkd.in/gPrGV3MK

🛑 Biden Validates USA Intention Not to Recognize Palestine. 🛑 Support Natanyahu/Israel’s Refusal to Recognize Palestine. 🛑 USA-Evidence for Extermination of Palestinians. 🛑 ICJ and ICC to Take Notice for Responsibility. There are no other evidences of the longstanding refusal of USA (supported by Germany and the UK) to stop Israel during many decades from repeatedly using wars to wipe out the Palestinian other than his own words, statements and actions. All of which emanate from the foreign policy of not only Biden but more importantly the USA: - First his statements “if there were not an Israel, we’d have to invent one”. - Second his statement “I'm Ashamed To Be Irish”. - Third the unlimited and unconditional military support to Israel that resulted in the most cruel genocide in human history as evidenced from Gaza and the ‘OPT’. The genocide in Gaza and the expansion of the settlements in the ‘OPT’ Occupied Palestinian Territories didn’t take place in vacuum. These are the outcomes of decades of blind support to Israel with excuses such as anti-semitism, self-defense and the memories of the Holocaust. The Palestinians and the Middle East, and associated collective punishment, has nothing to do with these excuses.
“I’m Ashamed To Be Irish!” – Biden Parody 😁 #TheJimmyDoreShow 'Joe Biden is downright upset over the recent announced recognition of the Palestinian state by three new European nations — Spain, Norway and Ireland. Especially as a devoted son of the Emerald Island, Biden can’t believe these nations would dare to side with the oppressed peoples of Palestine.' Watch here: https://lnkd.in/e-5abmsp

Are you serious about preventing incidents in your organisation? We have different way in our approach and achieved many success. Let us discuss to have a clear understanding of the values we present.
A very true speech. Why israel has no consequence until now because of America and their allies support israel. Just a simple questions: This genocide may just a start and Palestine is just the beginning and what about it will turn to other powerless country? Do you think it will be the same as Palestine destiny? What your country do to prevent it? Not a simple questions: Why do we have United Nations for??? Do you think we need to leave United Nations? What do we have to do with majority of powerless countries in this world??? Food for thought.

Curious about the peace process in Colombia? Or about how policymaker positions and popular opinion inform each other? Check out Natalia Garbiras Diaz’s fantastic interview about our recent work, delving into attitude formation among legislators and average citizens: https://lnkd.in/g9qr6VvQ Together with Miguel Garcia Sanchez, we show that influence mostly flows from elites at the policy level, despite the high stakes. Our paper on the attitudes of average citizens is here: https://lnkd.in/ghJgnXWT And on legislators is here: https://lnkd.in/gsdSfU52 #Colombia#peaceprocess#peaceagreement

Policy Makers at the Forefront: Crafting Peaceful Futures Governments and policymakers are pivotal in creating sustainable peace. By crafting comprehensive peace agreements and effective policies, they lay the foundation for lasting stability. Successful examples include the Good Friday Agreement in Northern Ireland, which ended decades of conflict, and the peace accords in Colombia, which aimed to bring an end to over 50 years of civil war. These agreements demonstrate the power of diplomacy and negotiation in resolving disputes and building a peaceful future. See on : https://lnkd.in/dHxZU9Gq

It's why the #NewGlobalConsensus is visionary. A general theme is to link wealth created from land to those who live on that land. #NewGlobalConsensus is putting forth frameworks both for #Data #Sovereignty and #Land #Stewardship in agriculture - but these frameworks can apply in other applications. New #transportation options will become available with AI which will use weather data in real time. Data Sovereignty can help link ownership of data taken from one’s land with the land and its people. Imagine the regulatory disruption New Global Consensus will bring as it provides new tools for Indigenous people across the world to assert their #Sovereignty over their land.

The American governments signed approximately 370 peace treaties with the indigenous people in America, all of which were violated and not respected, leading to the killing/death of millions of them. How can we trust the broker of the israeli occupation who never respected any ruling in its history?
