💪 Another milestone for Ganz’s Transformer Division! For the first time of Ganz era, which is restarted 3 years ago, we’ve transported a 96-tonne transformer on a barge ❗ Total transport high 4.5 metre-, nominal power 170 MVA transformer was shipped up the Danube from Csepel-Budapest to Rotterdam. Total weighs of this unit is 150 tonnes when assembled and filled with oil. I’m excited to finally unveil what we’ve been working on for the past few months! Karman Industries is a thermal energy company focused on electrifying global manufacturing ⚡ Our mission is to significantly reduce energy costs for some of the largest companies in the world and to help save the planet while we’re at it. 🌎 Industrial heat is essential to manufacture nearly all global goods and commodities but the technology hasn’t changed in 150+ years since the advent of the gas boiler–this is financially and environmentally expensive. Globally, manufacturers spend ~$600B to produce low-temperature industrial heat, which contributes to 20% of greenhouse gas emissions. That’s 2X more than automobiles and 8X more than the aviation industry. As an avid skier and scuba diver, I’ve seen the effects of climate change first hand and I am proud to be building a company that will have a positive impact on this problem. Karman’s opportunity is to collectively save customers hundreds of billions of dollars per year and eliminate up to ⅕ of global emissions. I was fortunate to meet the hands-down best technical mind to tackle this problem, my Co-Founder, Chiranjeev Kalra. We’ve quickly assembled a world-class founding team that shares our passion for the mission and we are excited to lead the charge toward a future where electrification is the norm, not the exception. Karman is combining the latest technology from the rocket, electric vehicle, and advanced manufacturing sectors to engineer the first-of-its-kind Thermal01 electric heat pump. 📢 Exciting Announcement 📢 CATAGEN have been successful in a consortium application to the Clean Maritime Demonstrator Competition (CMDC), supported by Department for Transport (DfT), United Kingdom and Innovate UK. The project will include a techno-economic feasibility study which will explore the opportunity of bringing novel clean fuel production technology to market, which has the potential to deliver significant decarbonisation to the UK’s maritime activities. Partnering with, EMEC: European Marine Energy Centre, Orkney Harbours (Orkney Islands Council), Highland Fuels, and Belfast Harbour Commissioners.   The feasibility study aims to showcase the use of CATAGEN's E-FUEL GEN technology to produce e-diesel and bio-diesel for the maritime sector, the use of e-diesel on marine vessels to displace fossil fuel, and the use of bio-diesel to supply port-side equipment. Test update! Our tests in Drimmelen have come to an end. We've spent this time fine-tuning our height control system and making adjustments to other components of our boat to optimise its performance. Now, we're ready for our open sea tests! We've moved our headquarters to Scheveningen and will be testing our boat on the waves to prepare for the crossing ahead. Waves can be a significant challenge when it comes to foiling, as maintaining stability becomes more difficult as they get higher. Except for the times Miller marketing tried to change it and reduce its capability, without question this CV power source was and still is the best performing, best built CV power source made. Now I was testing MIG equip. before this power source was introduced by Miller and have continued to test MIG equip. for decades, so let's see what Miller employees really know about their own weld equip. My Question to them and anyone who is weld professional. "Why do you think I selected the Delta Weld as the power source of choice for the Philadelphia Naval Ship Yard, when I could have selected any global MIG Mult-process, Inverter or Pulsed unit?
