The name “Emil Otto Flux- und Oberflächentechnik GmbH” has been synonymous with the highest quality since 1901. As an owner-managed company in the fifth generation, we have dedicated ourselves to the development and manufacture of high-quality products for electronics manufacturing, metal processing and the solar industry. Our products are used by market leaders at home and abroad. A key focus of our work is the development of sustainable applications and consumables for soldering processes in the electronics industry. That is why we at Emil Otto have been making decisions for years that not only serve a “sustainable image”, but actually represent sustainable solutions and thus also shape our corporate strategy. Part of our product range therefore consists of fluxes, flux pastes and gels, that have been specially developed for reworking. The pastes in particular are offered in packaging units that enable precise and easy application during the rework process. Nowadays, lithium-ion cells are produced in several forms – cylindrical, prismatic, and pouch. When it comes to power tools and e-bike batteries, the most popular choice is cylindrical 18650 and 21700. These numbers refer to the diameter and height in millimetres.   But do all cells have the same dimensions? The simple answer is no. In fact, cells you might think are identical could vary in size by up to 1mm in height.
