I have so much to be thankful for.
As we approach the holiday season, I want to take a moment to reflect on the last few months and express my gratitude.
Since late August, my primary focus outside of school has been Schola— a platform that connects international college applicants with affordable, student-led counseling. This was my first experience managing revenue, pricing services, managing tax planning, and overseeing high-level client acquisition/management. Balancing these responsibilities with school has been an immense challenge, and differing time zones have only added to it.
But these challenges have been blessings in disguise; I genuinely believe I've learned more in the last two months than in the last year. This is where I would like to express my first thanks. Thank you, Vaikhari Sonawane, Aadvik Chaturvedi, and Achintya Pasricha for being there for me and helping out!
After a slow start in August and September, we’ve achieved back-to-back record-breaking months in October and November, generating over ₹15K in revenue! While our balance sheet is still red, being bootstrapped gives us the flexibility to experiment and grow. With a projected 25% monthly revenue growth rate, we anticipate breaking even by early next year.
Of course, this wouldn't have been possible without a solid support network. I would like to thank Adi Varshney, Prathyush Yeturi, Ishaan Indukuri, and my other friends, who, despite working on their own demanding projects, were there to decompress late at night. I can vouch for their skills and genuine personality.
And, most importantly, I want to thank my parents. My dad, who has been my rock- stepping in to cover vendor pre-payments without hesitation, and my mom- who (despite my multiple attempted explanations) may not fully understand what Schola does, yet is always supportive and celebrates every milestone with me. Without their love and encouragement, none of this would have been possible. I owe so much to them both. Their belief in me keeps me grounded and motivated.
These past months have been full of learning and growth; it was about time I showed some gratitude :). I’m excited about what lies ahead for Schola and my other projects. Thank you to everyone who’s been part of this journey. Let’s keep building!
