This year, our Christmas 2024 Appeal is in support of 'Action for Children' in Pembrokeshire. Action for Children is a charity that supports and protects children and young people with practical and emotional support. Action for Children will be putting together a 'movie night in a hamper' for the children. We asked our team to donate items to fill these magical hampers, and they did not disappoint us. The donations came in by the bag full! A big thank you to the GD Harries team for kindly donating and making a difference by bringing the magic of Christmas into these children's homes. Diolch / Thank You

Heart on Main Street is raising money to help retailers impacted by recent storms throughout the US. In the last two weeks, deadly tornados have affected entire communities and destroyed locally-owned businesses in Oklahoma, Nebraska, Iowa and Texas. This year alone, already hundreds of locally-owned independent retail stores have become victims of natural disasters. These unexpected disasters have affected retailers in every part of the country. While businesses are insured, there is often a gap between the cost of recovery and what they are paid out. This leaves retailers on the hook for thousands of dollars if they want to re-open their store and remain a part of the community. Independent retailers are huge drivers of the local economy and helping these retailers recover brings hope back to these affected communities. They bring a sense of normalcy to areas that have lost so much. We would love to help as many retailers and communities as possible, so, if you are able, please consider making a donation to Heart on Main Street, and help these communities recover. https://lnkd.in/gtdW9Tef
Did you know? Even a small donation can make a big difference in the lives of those impacted by the tornadoes. Here at Heart on Main Street, we believe in the power of community. Join us in supporting the recovery efforts in Oklahoma and Nebraska. Together, we can show the strength and compassion of our retail community. Donate now: https://lnkd.in/g7-tixGe

Strike Out T1D with Us This Weekend! Get ready to roll with purpose! This Sunday, November 10th, Leyton and I are hitting the lanes at Victory Bowl in Mankato for the fourth annual Strike Out T1D event. We’re excited to be bowling to raise funds for Camp Sweetlife, an incredible nonprofit camp that supports kids with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) in living full, empowered lives. Why Camp Sweetlife? Camp Sweetlife isn’t just a camp—it’s a life-changing experience. It’s a place where kids with T1D get to be kids, enjoying all the classic camp adventures, surrounded by counselors and medical staff who truly understand what they're going through. Our goal is to eventually make this camp free for any T1D kid, ensuring no child misses out on this experience due to financial reasons. Here’s How You Can Help! You can support our team in a few ways: Pledge Per Strike: Donate per strike our team throws (like $0.50 per strike). Example: $0.50 x 50 strikes = $25. Pledge with a Cap: Donate per strike but with a max amount, like $0.50 per strike up to a $20 donation. Flat Donation: Keep it easy and give a set amount for the event! To contribute, you can donate directly to Camp Sweetlife here https://lnkd.in/gVmM3fZU or Venmo me, and I’ll make sure it reaches them. or, like and share this post to make sure it reaches as many people as possible. Together, let’s show kids with T1D that nothing can hold them back!

And in this picture is the custodian of delivering this years Hamper Scamper Daniel Chun. It’s a huge effort, and responsibility, so please do dig deep and do what you can. Food: Festuve 5 is a real priority. A festive dessert – from Christmas cake to Christmas pud, Yule be adding a sweet treat to your shopping basket. Tasty biscuits or mince pies – whether you are team mince pies or team choccy biscuits, these little treats are the perfect way to celebrate the festive season. Chocolates – December may be the only time of year when chocolate for breakfast is acceptable! Share your favourites and add a box to your shopping trolley! Savoury snacks – sometimes it’s nice to break up the sweetness with something savoury. Now where did we put that tube of Pringles…? Hot drinks – like a hug in a mug, you can’t go wrong with a warming cup of hot chocolate, coffee or fancy tea.
If you'd still like to donate gifts specifically - you still can! 🎁 Our tagged gift referrals are all accounted for now (woohoo!), but we may continue to receive a few more emergency referrals over the next 2 weeks. By donating unwrapped gifts that any child could enjoy, you can us help make their Christmas a little bit brighter 🎄🌟 Emergency referrals are usually for children that have been thrust into difficult family or financial circumstances, children who could really really benefit from a nice present from a kind stranger ❤️ Check out our drop off points to deliver your unwrapped gift here: https://lnkd.in/eFTp-RXb #HamperScamper #Charity #ChristmasGiving #MakeADifference #NonProfit

Did you know that donating stock can significantly impact the lives of Native Elders, children, and families – all while saving you money in the process? Here’s how: 👉 When you donate your appreciated assets (stock), you avoid paying capital gains tax. 👉 If you itemize deductions, you can also take a charitable deduction for the entire donation amount. 👉 You can donate a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) through your IRA and reduce your taxable income.
