This year, our peak user concurrency skyrocketed to over 15 million! Our engineers work tirelessly to ensure our systems are primed to deliver the best experiences, especially during marquee events. Our decision to transition to React Native was strategic and bold, presenting technical and organisational challenges. However, this is exactly where our cultural tenets of DO-PUT guide us. Fuelled by our values, through meticulous planning and perseverance, we successfully navigated this transition, culminating in the full migration of our app by the 2023 IPL. In our latest blog post, we delve into the rationale behind choosing React Native amidst a sea of cross-platform technologies. From the initial proof of concept to the comprehensive rollout plan, every step was executed to ensure a smooth transition without compromising on user experience. Despite initial setbacks, we were able to optimise performance, fine-tune benchmarks, and foster a culture of cross-functional collaboration to overcome obstacles and emerge stronger than ever. But our journey doesn't end here. We're committed to engaging with the React Native community, sharing our learnings, and contributing to its growth.
