Reflecting back on my Universal Human Values [UHV] course experience.... The UHV course in our PGDM e-Business curriculum was one of those workshop sessions, which was truly enlightening and self-awakening. This course really helped me learn about some very important thought processes and considerations which are truly vital. It also greatly contributed in developing a holistic perspective about various things. During the Student Induction Program (SIP), we were provided an introduction about the course. The entire day workshop [which was conducted on 2nd April 2024] made me realize that one of our aims in life should be to attain – Happiness, Satisfaction and Prosperity. The "Lost Generation Palindrome" poem was truly an eye-opener and how much perception really matters while we think about reality of life. The session also enlightened on the important aspects of – [1] Understanding in the Self [2] Aspirations and Concerns @ individual level [3] Peer pressure (both positive and negative) and how to deal with it [wherein Mirinda’s #ReleasethePressure campaign was also shown] [4] Trust – The Foundation of Relationships [5] Self Reflection on Gratitude and elements of Respect [6] Excellence, Competition and Collaboration [7] Harmony and Society in Nature [8] Relationship of Mutual fulfilment From every topic, I learnt something which made me think over some of the pre- conceived notions in a more thoughtful manner. The course greatly helped in developing a comprehensive perspective and a new way of perceiving and thinking about ground realities of life.
