I first learned about Professor Dennis Lo Yuk-ming over a decade ago when I was reading about his work on NIPT technology. This is a medical invention that benefits humanity and society, helping countless families. Before Professor Lo officially invented NIPT, amniocentesis was the main prenatal diagnostic method. However, this invasive technique, although it could determine potential genetic diseases before the baby's birth, had a 0.5% chance of causing a miscarriage with each puncture. Now, with non-invasive testing technology, prenatal testing has become safer and more accurate.

Yesterday I had a privilege of attending the academic clinic in Kangema High school and to say I was impressed will be injustice. The school had unique aspects in governance that I took note of; 1. The governance had been structure like a universities.You could here teachers calling each Dean.. 2. In addressing bad performance, the teacher emphasises the role of culture of the class in performance. 3. Instead of calling the students form one, they were called class of 2027. 4.The streams were named according to best universities in the world and not compass directions. Interestingly Yale was the leading universities. This would seem nothing until one understand the role on naming in shaping perspective and inspiring confidence. We are telling you to watch this space, this will be among the best school in performance in 2027.
