While I would have expected the Green Software Foundation to play a larger role in this report, I found the content good; especially the framework around Digital public goods (pg9 then carried through report). Certainly the role of #opensource and #AI is an area where we as an industry need to lean in imo.

I am thrilled to have watched Annette Schaefer's session on the transformative role of EPS in sustainability. EPS has emerged as a real game-changer in achieving environmental goals, and Annette's insights shed light on its significant impact. One aspect that stood out to me was the idea of EPS as engineered air." This perspective truly demonstrates the innovative nature of EPS, as it saves resources and conserves energy. We can maximize efficiency without compromising on quality by utilizing lightweight EPS materials. This approach aligns perfectly with the goals of the circular economy and the Green Deal. I commend Annette for her expertise and invaluable contribution to the conversation on EPS. Her passion for sustainability shines through her presentations, and it is evident that she is a true advocate for progress in this field. EPS is essential in shaping a greener future, and Annette's insights have provided a compelling case. The journey towards a greener tomorrow requires a collective effort, and EPS offers a promising avenue for achieving this goal. We’re happy to share that Capture One’s Science Based Target has been approved, making it the 4th company in Axcel’s portfolio to get an approved Scienced Based Target.   Capture One is a world-leader in photography software, and the company has set an emission reduction target through the Science Based Targets initiative, committing the company to:   ◾Reducing GHG emissions in its own operations by 42 percent by 2030 (Scope 1 and 2) ◾Measuring and reducing indirect GHG emissions occurring in the value chain (Scope 3) To reach this goal, Capture One collaborates with The 0-Mission and subscribes to solar panels, covering the company’s power consumption in Denmark.   You can read more about Capture One’s sustainability efforts, which span climate, employee wellbeing, diversity & inclusion, community & education, and responsible business practices below.   #axcel, #privateequity, #sustainability
