It's clear that after spending a few days at the #RTAsummit in San Jose with some of our most strategic and integrated software partners, real-time information for businesses has never been so important. Creating a more organized system through compute/storage decoupling and indexing strategies were just a few thoughts on the "stack". 2️⃣ Kranti K. Parisa from Dialpad spoke about how real-time AI equates to (2) things: 🟢 Productivity (email writing, creative artifacts, etc.) and 🟢 Automation - with automation largely needing a real-time data engine serving and refreshing AI models for the best outcomes. 3️⃣ Finally, Jay Kreps spent some time walking us more deeply into the "data mess" problem within organizations, and how "Getting nice cleaned up data from yesterday” isn't the way we will be powering the most innovative applications moving forward - streams and "tables" will be the ways we connect operational and analytical environments, making data accessible across systems. 🏆 A few other amazing partners we ran into: DeltaStream, Imply, Materialize, Timeplus, and Amazon Web Services (AWS). 🚀 Cheers to all the great people who continue to think big and move fast in our community of data in motion advocates!

Amazing to see how quickly the data pipelining space is evolving to include natural language queries. Companies that look for utility from their data across their organizations know of the bottlenecks that exist. Most companies don't have their data all in the cloud so being able to integrate on premises data through data tools will accelerate the use of products like Patterns and reduce those people-based bottlenecks https://patterns.app/

Exciting recognition here by Forrester. The focus of the report is on "enterprises" needs for GenAI. Databricks’ focus on providing a complete GenAI solution that helps customers deploy production-quality applications really shines here.

It was my first exposure to Databricks Data + AI Summit (DAIS) and certainly will not be my last.
