Executive Assistant to Founders &CEO’s| Empowering Leaders through Seamless Support | Expert in Calendar Management, Task Prioritization, and Project Coordination | Streamlining Operations for Maximum Impact|
Have you ever found yourself on a discovery call and got asked about a tool you’ve only heard of but never used? Yeah! That was me last week. I landed a one-week gig as a virtual assistant with an agency, and during our discovery call, we talked about the usual tasks and tools. Then came the question: “Are you familiar with GoHighLevel?” I knew about it but had never used it. So, I replied, “I’ve heard of it, but I haven’t had the chance to use it yet. I’m eager to learn more!” So, I spent the entire day diving into GoHighLevel. By the time our next call rolled around, I was ready. During the onboarding, I focused on their existing processes and systems, determined to deliver top-notch results. That’s how I earned some bucks in dollars and gained a new skill. Here’s the thing: having a growth mindset is non-negotiable, no matter your field. Every opportunity is a chance to learn something new. If you’re not continuously learning, you’re missing out on so many opportunities to excel. So, how do you keep learning and growing in your role? Let’s chat in the comments!👇

Customer-Focused Growth with Experimentation | Advocate of Strategic Testing and of Ship Fast & Iterate
Over the last two years, I have driven 11 experimentation programs to ROI-positive outcomes. I have trained client teams, directors, VPs and field matter experts in the discipline. More companies are waking up to the value of experimentation and my bandwidth is capped with my existing clients who precede everything else. Conversion Advocates is hiring and that means an opportunity to become my new colleague and to help deliver meaningful growth for awesome clients. I don’t get any incentive from doing this post: no bonus, no raise, and no promotion. What I do get is a future wingman. The more the team expands, the richer the peer review calls are going to be. That’s my direct benefit. I will grow as much as you from more strategists sitting in the same room and exchanging ideas and challenging each other. There are cool benefits to working at CA : - You are trusted as a professional and no one watches behind your back. - Your bandwidth is carefully protected by the exec team. - Flexible schedule. I take a h lunch every day to go to the gym. - 3h every week is given back for a personal growth project. - Awesome clients who respect and value your authority. - Weekly training sessions ranging from GA4 to strategy to psychology. - Our values include Radical Honesty. You can say anything as long as it is done tactfully. The job postings are super easy to find on the website. If you have questions, feel free to reach out to me. I play no part in the hiring process, so I can only speak to the job as a potential colleague. If you are curious, proactive and passionate, I hope you'll take a chance. There's a whole squad who is getting excited with the idea of a new wingman. ✌️

I faced failure 3 times before finally landing a job as a professional designer in the industry. Each setback taught me valuable lessons 👇 1) GraalOnline (NewWorld) I learned the importance of not over scoping and understanding the capabilities of my team. It's crucial to set realistic goals and work within the limits of what can be achieved collectively. 2) Program Manager (Microsoft) I discovered the significance of selecting projects and missions that resonate with my beliefs and values. When you are passionate about the work you are doing, you are more likely to succeed and excel in your role. 3) Producer role (Red 5 Studios) I realized that simply getting your foot in the door is not enough if you are not passionate about the work itself. It's essential to find fulfillment and enjoyment in what you do to truly thrive in your career. Through these experiences, I've come to understand that failure is not something to be feared but rather embraced as a stepping stone to success. We grow and progress in our professional journeys by overcoming challenges and learning from mistakes. Don't fear failure!

Throwback to my experience at ProductDive : Reflecting on a memorable moment from our group project, I recall a time when I found myself falling behind in classes and unaware that my group mates had already convened virtually. With just a few days left until our presentation, I reached out to one of my teammates, only to discover they were in another meeting. Feeling a bit overwhelmed, I joined the call, expecting to play catch-up. To my surprise, everyone was not only prepared but eager to help and ensure I was brought up to speed. It was a moment that truly redefined teamwork for me. From this experience, I learned the importance of communication, transparency, and looking out for one another. It's not just about achieving individual success but lifting each other up and moving forward together as a team. So, here's a gentle reminder: never hesitate to lean on your team, and always extend a helping hand when needed. Together, we can accomplish anything! 🚀 #ThrowbackThursday #ProductdiveExperience #5daysLinkedInchallenge #ppmproducdive #productdive

🏎️ I may get called out for this because I’m so late to the game, but I started watching Netflix’s “Formula 1: Drive to Survive” this week. I will be the first one to tell you, people driving cars around a loop is not something that really interests me. That said, after watching and learning more about F1 - it’s really not about just the driver. 🏁 Yes, you need an efficient, confident, and skilled driver to win - but you also need a strong team behind you to ensure you have the right equipment, engine, and also the tools to be successful. 🔧🔥 It’s hard not to see the connection between an efficient team on the track and a successful team in the corporate world. One person might be the champion of a project, presentation, or a “close”, however, you need to remember the team behind them that gave them the “car” so to speak to be successful. 🤝 With that being said, finding the right team can be hard. You need to find people who have the right skills, and are the right personality fit for the team. 🧩 If you leave the position open for too long, you run the risk of being unable to finish projects because of the skills-gap. If you hire the wrong person - the car might run, but maybe not as efficiently as it could. Ultimately, it could be a pretty expensive error. 💸 That’s why, when working with my clients - it’s important to really understand what we’re looking for. It’s important to get the full picture and do a thorough intake of the company, the team, and the person. It’s also important to be honest in what is possible - and what’s a unicorn search. 🦄 In addition - eating, breathing, and sleeping dreaming about recruitment does have advantages - so I can be a go-to resource on what we’re seeing talent market-wise. At the end of the day, I’m here to help you put the fastest car out on the track and give you some key market intel on what your competitors are up to. 🏎️💨 If this sounds like something you may need assistance with, I’m always up for a virtual coffee & chat! 💌 mary.allward@randstad.ca #Formula1 #DriveToSurvive #Teamwork #recruitment

You have to start talking about what you do or what you’re working on. When I was in the transition phase from quitting my job to figuring out what I wanted to do next, I was telling anyone and everyone who would listen about what I was upto. I spoke about discovering a concept called ‘Design Thinking’ and how I was using the framework to redesign my life. The by product was that I had a ton of interesting conversations with people about Design Thinking, pivoting, career transitions and these conversations sparked more ideas! And when people know what you’re upto, what you’re working on, whether it’s a paid project or personal work, you’re dropping seeds into their mind so when something relevant to that field comes up, they’re thinking of you! And this is where the hidden job market comes in. All the jobs/ opportunities I have gained over the last year, have been from telling people what I do or what I’m interested in. Keep people in the loop and watch how opportunities will start presenting themself.
