Is the #Underwriting job dull and boring? 💥ABSOLUTELY NOT 💥 Currently is missing on the market the whole generation of #Underwriters and the Underwriting Manager´s nightmare 😨 is to fill the underwriting vacancies - both Junior and Senior positions. There might be various reasons - my observations: 🔭 ✔ Still conservative leadership and culture in the insurance industry ✔ Heavy workload and slow and cumbersome promotion path ✔ Outdated job profile - too much focus on technical skills, neglecting human and business skills ✔ Job/industry reputation and the way we market and promote the Underwriting job ✔ Lack of #Talent management strategy in insurance companies And other reasons depending on the market and company, you name it… The bottom line is, that the underwriting job and insurance industry is not THAT attractive for the new generation talents and the offering on the labor market is far more appealing. 🏃 Whether we like it or not the job of #Insurance managers is very simple - help the next gen to fall in love with the underwriting and fight for the talents. 💖 I was doing the job nearly for 10 years and am still in love – now more platonic 😊. I am aware that it takes time and effort to become an experienced Underwriter, however, strongly believe that the new approach is inevitable and I am ready to help. 🔧 How do you see it?
