Elevate the Ideation Process: Embrace Generative AI with Human Ingenuity! I'll admit it, I have a love/hate relationship with generative AI and the rippling effect it has had across creative and non-creative industries. On the one hand, it has democratized almost everything that was once only accessible to experts, and on the other hand, it has taken much power from those experts. But regardless of its effects, it is here to stay and is growing at an exponential rate. With that in mind, I've been leveraging generative AI in a few ways to enhance my processes rather than replace them. 1. Idea generation: I use generative AI algorithms to rapidly generate a wide array of ideas based on specified parameters, sparking inspiration and providing a starting point for further exploration. 2. Content inspiration: I utilize generative AI tools to generate content prompts, headlines, or snippets, serving as inspiration for my creative campaigns, copywriting, or content creation. 3. Visual exploration: I experiment with generative AI-powered image generation tools to explore visual concepts, styles, and aesthetics, aiding in my visual brainstorming and concept visualization. 4. Data analysis: I leverage AI-driven analytics platforms to analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor strategies, gaining insights that inform my creative strategies and identify untapped opportunities. 5. Personalization: I create personalized experiences for my target audiences using generative AI, such as tailored messaging, product recommendations, or dynamic content based on individual preferences and behaviors. 6. Prototype development: I automate the creation of prototypes or design variations using generative AI, enabling rapid iteration and experimentation during my ideation phase. 7. Collaborative tools: I integrate AI-powered collaboration tools that facilitate brainstorming sessions, idea sharing, and feedback loops among my team members, enhancing collaboration and streamlining our creative process. 8. Quality assurance: I employ AI-driven quality assurance tools to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of my creative concepts, ensuring they align with our strategic objectives and resonate with our target audience. 9. Augmented creativity: I embrace AI as a creative assistant rather than a replacement, leveraging its capabilities to augment my creativity, overcome creative blocks, and push the boundaries of innovation. 10. Continuous learning: I stay updated on the latest advancements in generative AI technology and explore new tools and techniques that can enhance my creative process. I embrace a culture of continuous learning and experimentation to stay ahead in the ever-evolving landscape of creativity and innovation. How are you using these tools to amplify your process? #AI #Creativity #Innovation #SaaS #B2B #Ideation #Collaboration

I commented on this paper some time back, when it was a pre-print. I'm glad to say that it is now published (and therefore has been subjected to peer review). https://lnkd.in/eeufDth7 This is NOT an "AI is more creative than humans" paper, but instead explores generative #AI as an aid to human #creativity. I found this study very well designed. It has a good sample size, it is clear (and correct) about how it measures creativity, and it includes small, but important touches, like reporting effect sizes. It also does all this in a real-world context (story writing). The findings are also consistent with what I have observed, both in my own research, and in other comparable studies: namely, that: 1. The benefit of AI/Human co-creation is most apparent for individuals who are naturally lower in creativity. 2. There is a risk that using generative AI in an activity like story-writing drives the outputs towards "sameness". I.e., in the long-term, the creative output gets homogenised and therefore less creative. The conclusion I have already formed is that generative AI functions about on par with a "competent amateur" (or, you might say, a "weak professional") in relation to creative writing (and, I suspect, in relation to a lot of other things). It's no surprise then, that if you are already of above average creativity, or if you are already a competent professional, you probably won't derive much "qualitative" benefit from generative AI. However, that's not to say that you won't gain some "quantitative" (i.e., speed) benefit. If, on the other hand, you are below average on creativity, or you are a novice, you probably will gain both qualitative and quantitative benefits from generative AI. This study is a well-designed contribution to helping us understand who stands to benefit from generative AI, and exactly how those benefits can be best exploited.

We are staring to see some of the “impacts of using #GeneativeAI for X” research. Earlier I posted an article from Wharton School on effects of #GenAI on learning (it may have a negative effect) this recent investigation points to some of the effects on creativity. GenAI might level the playing field, but not in the ways you might think

R&D of HealthTech, MedTech & AgeTech in eHealth of "No-Code GenAI" and "HRV" - for Creativity, Productivity & Ageing-Better via digital Flow, Zen or Happy SISU (Retired)
Creativity is core to being human but influenced by GenAI nowadays - either individually or collectively affected somehow different according to this research: Generative AI enhances individual creativity but reduces the collective diversity of novel content https://lnkd.in/dnDZHNmC Generative artificial intelligence (AI)—including powerful large language models (LLMs)—holds promise for humans to be more creative by offering new ideas, or less creative by anchoring on generative AI ideas. For instance, generative AI–enabled stories are more similar to each other than stories by humans alone. With generative AI, writers are individually better off, but collectively a narrower scope of novel content is produced. --- How does this factor of GenAI mean to us if a lot of companies are constantly seeking ways to explore the creativity via the individuals (mostly as the pioneers), and thus able gain a competitive edge in own business as a whole? For example, AI is not just a buzzword at Boston Consulting Group (BCG). It is a fundamental element of their strategy learned from this following link: How BCG Is Revolutionizing Consulting With AI: A Case Study https://lnkd.in/dUur7QHK BCG is boosting productivity, fostering innovation, and preparing its workforce for the future. First, don't wait. Start addressing frictions and building the necessary governance structures now. Second, engage the organization. Avoid outsourcing AI implementation entirely and instead, focus on building internal capabilities. BCG's proactive approach provides a valuable blueprint for other organizations aiming to harness the power of AI in their own operations. --- Is such a company case very similar as an individual - if both are feasible aimed for creatively and proactively to optimize GenAI competence? For me now to prepare attending OYSTER training in 2H2024, as either a startup or an individual, those 2 links are helpful to convince myself for trying GenAI eHealth teammates as much as possible ... developing there for it worth as a pattern! 😉 #learningisfun #GenAI #OYSTER
