As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, it's a time to reflect on the rich culture, values, and contributions of the Hispanic community. Leadership comes in many forms, and one of the most powerful ways we can honor our heritage is by stepping into leadership roles that help shape the future. 🎉 The Latino Leadership Academy, endorsed by the Leadership Skills Institute and powered by genconnectU, is a space where emerging Hispanic leaders can explore their unique strengths, build confidence, and connect with a supportive community. Leadership is not just about titles—it’s about making an impact. Let’s continue to inspire one another, uplift our communities, and lead with integrity! 🤝 #HispanicHeritageMonth #LatinoLeadership #InspireChange #LeadWithHeart Claudia Romo Edelman Perla Tamez Casasnovas Robert Rodriguez, PhD We Are All Human Foundation The Hispanic Star

Often leaders rely on their position, rank and title to get people to come along. Not very inspiring, I know. Learning to lead without relying on one's position is very important, especially when your role is wide ranging and crosses functions and departmental turf. With an emphasis on earning trust and committing to the mission and to the people who are involved, leading without authority is where true leadership emerges. People do have choice, and realizing you want people to choose to be a member of your team, irrespective of their position and departmental designation, is where higher order leadership finds its footing. And, for people in cross functional leadership roles, learning to lead without authority is essential. The Chief of Staff Association #chiefofstaff

Each one of us can be a leader, despite not having a 'leader' title. If only, we slightly shift our mindset from "not my job" to "radical accountability". "Leading without Authority" by Keith Ferrazzi as part of the The Chief of Staff Association's core competency program empowers us to move beyond working in silos to thriving in a matrixed organization. Keith Ferrazzi's co-elevation approach to leadership highlights the importance of collaboration, empathy, and mutual accountability. It allows for greater innovation, stronger team dynamics, and the ability to achieve ambitious goals without the limitations of traditional authority. Highly recommend this module for anything looking to Lead without Authority. #Leadership #ChiefofStaff #Leading

Is your CEO leading from the front?
Leaders are increasingly faced with a dilemma when addressing societal issues: should they engage, and if so, how? Our latest research, ‘Walking the Tightrope: Navigating Societal Issues on Social Media’, the fourth edition of our Leading from the Front series, reveals clear commercial benefits when senior executives speak out on social media about important issues. But one size does not fit all. While business leaders recognise these benefits, they often lack confidence in knowing how and when to take a stand. Just finished listening to "Multipliers" by Elise Foster and I can now self-identify as an "Idea Fountain" :). The book inspired me to think about how I might be able to become a Multiplier vs Accidental Diminisher. Highly recommend it to anyone looking to expand their leadership skills. #leadership #professionaldevelopment #bookrecommendation https://lnkd.in/esH_YAgF

Thanks to the The Chief of Staff Association for another fascinating and forward looking training with Laurie Benezra-Arron PCC, CPCC. I had the privilege of participating in an insightful discussion on "The Power Pair," led by Laurie Benezra-Arron PCC, CPCC, in collaboration with The Chief of Staff Association and Drew Davis. This engaging session delved into various strategies to optimize the crucial partnership between Leaders and their Chiefs of Staff. Key topics explored included: Strengthening the Leader-CoS Partnership: We examined innovative methods to enhance communication, trust, and effectiveness within this pivotal relationship. The Handshake Meeting: The discussion emphasized the critical importance of this initial alignment session in setting the tone for a successful partnership. Expectation Setting: We explored techniques for clearly defining roles, responsibilities, and mutual expectations to ensure seamless collaboration. Resilience Building: Strategies were shared on developing mental toughness and adaptability, essential qualities for navigating the complex landscape of executive support. Leadership Challenge Navigation: The session provided valuable insights into tackling common obstacles faced by both Leaders and Chiefs of Staff in their roles. For those seeking to elevate their Chief of Staff or Operations Leadership experience, Laurie's book offers an actionable framework filled with practical advice and strategies. It's an excellent resource for both new and experienced Chiefs of Staff looking to maximize their impact. #chiefofstaff #csa #executiveleadership #professionaldevelopment
