It was the earliest Category 5 Atlantic storm for about 100 years. #HurricaneBeryl 🌀 set records and puts a spotlight on the need to always be prepared, which is why we created our Hurricane Preparedness Guide: https://bit.ly/3xGLNlE. Once the storm has passed, however, new challenges emerge. We’ve included some post-storm safety tips in our guide as well, such as: 🔌 If power is out, unplug all major appliances before turning the electricity back on to minimize surge damage 🔌 If your home flooded, have a professional electrician check the residence before turning the electricity on 🔌 Only use portable generators outside and at least 20 feet away from windows, doors and vents.
