I would argue there are two factors that can skew the outcome: sincerity and clarity (with reasonable timeframes). An easy model to deliver clear feedback is utilizing the “TIPS” method. Topic Impact Purpose/Plan Success/Support It will help give you a framework of needed.

For those who are transitioning to a managerial role, learning how to effectively communicate is key to building successful and receptive teams. Often no one teaches you how to become a manager, but building and nurturing relationships is a good place to start.
