How Schools Get Esports Programs off the Ground K–12 administrators rely on grants and community partnerships to start and further their schools’ esports program

This needs more attention. Orchestrating collegiate executives to help spearhead esports discussions is no easy feat. Whether it's two executives collaborating or ten, we should be thankful large collegiate universities are discussing ways to elevate their sector in the industry. I still foresee more professional players being recruited to prominent Universities over the next three to five years. Professional players who don't have the skillset to transfer to operations, business, marketing, sales, etc., can return to school and get a degree while continuing to lean on their competitive passions. I also anticipate more sponsorship dollars to migrate to collegiate esport programs as they field talent that can push more viewership, storylines, and intertwine the community focus most schools are already enriched with.

In a survey of 1000 16 to 19-year-olds who have an interest in esports, 42% believe they are likely to work in esports in the future. The survey is part of a new report by CS.Money parent company ex corp detailing the development of education and careers in esports. https://lnkd.in/ew574cV5

I want to like this. I also believe this is a very strong step towards having strong leaders supporting collegiate esports. That being said the lack of diversity in this picture is bleeding my eyes. Don't want to rain on anybody's parade and look down on positive developments but we deserve so much more than this carbon copy situation in esports leadership positions. ◾ ◾ ◾ #diversity #inclusion #esports #collegiate #advisoryboard #dei
