Take a leap into the realm of Ascendant Infinity with our latest in-engine work! With a brief to capture the retro design details and playful style of this fresh new IP, the Big Farmer team set to work bringing this exuberant 80's sitcom styled showcase to life. Our incredible team were able to draw up an animatic from Playfusion's script before getting to work on some pre-vis, creating the building blocks for the piece. We location scouted in the game, set dressed locations, placed cameras, set up some gorgeous custom lighting, and went all out with a motion capture shoot. Building the entire trailer within UE5, we managed everything from rigging and facial animation to final VFX. We even facilitated the creation of this catchy song especially for the trailer. With nearly 500k views on X and 45k on Youtube since launching, we have loved seeing the reactions to this bespoke trailer. I am a cheater! Do you remember how after the release of the Justice League movie, suddenly there was Zack Snyder’s Justice League, which, in my opinion, did not differ in essence, they just restored some cut scenes. But there was a buzz, people also went to the cinema. I will do the same. I have over a hundred pieces of loaded art and video art, that’s for sure. Much was done on old software, much was done when my skills in animation and rendering were much less. And why not review, and then re-render everything that was done before. This is literally the implementation of the idea - become better than your yesterday self. In general, now I will be cheating. A look into the fungi growth driven by Cinema 4D’s field system. Watch the full piece here: https://lnkd.in/egpYvJYn This is part 3 in a series showing a behind the scenes look of the making of NashVasion, a piece created by John Durant and I. The main concept here is individual fungi meshes scaling up using various deformers and noises, then baked to PLA (Point Level Animation). The baked PLA meshes are used in a cloner and scattered on the landscape. Their keyframes are offset by a plane effector. The plane effector uses fields to scrub the PLA keyframes based on field value. A Freeze field modifier layer is used in "Max" mode to clamp and hold the max keyframe value so that the growth isn't reversed when the clone exists the field. Since some of the clones never reach full keyframe value, this adds more variation on top of any cloner random variations. #3d #plantgrowth #timelapse #cinema4d #cgi #behindthescenes
