Philly - a poor city or something else. How sad it was to learn that Philly was likely a very poor city. In all of my posts that toped views in 20k, 5k, 4k,..., Philly was not in the list. It was very revealing about Philly. Very likely it is a poor city, even if there is the best business school there in Philly. This also gives Philly a way to do some innovation. Give those that are running financial services some of the best environments to do their business. #upenn #philly #rutgersuniversity

This weekend I traveled to Illinois to speak at a restorative practices conference. Many thanks Mr.Stephen Jackson, LPC and the Oak Park Public Library. I needed to tell of my experience in the Missouri Department of Corrections and how I need help for those I left behind. I want to humanize the people like me, who made a mistake, but are not mistakes. We spoke of breaking down the barriers, housing, transportation, clothing, and most importantly jobs. I learned a lot from the other speakers who are working on change most importantly a program in Baltimore, Maryland, Encore. @M’Balu HERE IS COLUMBIA'S CALL TO ACTION: This program gives 5 persons positions in their company as administrative assistants, and other entry level positions with a start date immediately if wanted. They are paid the same amount as any entry level employee, but through private funding. After 6 months they are full-time employees paid through the company. There are other comparable positions, and all provide opportunity for advancement. The people are scouted while still inside to pick the best candidates. Can we or someone you know implement something like this here? Even one person, maybe 10? What can we do in our community? If you have a program like this, show another company how to implement it as well. We have to start somewhere. restorativepractices #restorativejustice #publiclibraries
