You can do it alone. Actually, that is not true, we are better together. In May 1953, Edmund Hillary summited Mount Everest. It was an amazing achievement and he received worldwide fame as a result. However there was someone with him, just outside the spot light. Tenzing Norgay, the Sherpa mountaineer and Hillary's climbing partner with five previous Everest expeditions on his CV, was also there. Tenzing also became famous but to a much lesser degree despite Hillary's insistence he could not have reached the summit without him. Some people are about results and not the spotlight. Like Tenzing, our mission is to help others succeed. At BenLink we understand this and every day we help large equipment manufacturers do more, better, for less. We help our OEM partners expand their capacity to exceed their customers' expectations. Our global network of skilled trades people provides, fast, flexible and focused support reducing travel costs and increasing reach. Mark Agnew's Northwest Passage journey proves that true adventure is forged in adversity. When the weather turned and the ice shifted, their plans were forced to adapt. What could have been a moment of panic became an opportunity for resourcefulness and teamwork. Hauling boats across shifting ice, repairing a damaged cockpit with duct tape and a lighter, and pushing through exhaustion became a testament to their determination. The journey wasn’t just about covering miles, but about overcoming the unexpected challenges and making sure every decision, every action, counted. This story is a reminder that in the face of unpredictable obstacles, resilience and innovation are what keep us moving forward. Currently diving into “The Almanack of Naval Ravikant,” and it’s already making a profound impact on my mindset. Naval’s approach to wealth, happiness, and living a fulfilled life is eye-opening. One key lesson that resonates with me: “Happiness is a choice and a skill, not a destination.” This book is helping me shift my focus towards long-term thinking—whether it’s about personal growth, financial independence, or simply finding joy in the process. It’s teaching me that true success is a combination of freedom, clarity, and contentment, not just material wealth. Highly recommend this read for anyone looking to transform their mindset and create lasting value in life. 📖✨ #PersonalGrowth #MindsetShift #TheAlmanackOfNavalRavikant #ContinuousLearning #GrowthMindset #Happiness #SelfImprovement #UXDesign

In 1914, polar explorer Ernest Shackleton set out on an ambitious expedition to cross Antarctica. But when his ship, the Endurance, became trapped in ice, he and his crew faced unimaginable hardships in the brutal cold, isolated from the world for nearly two years. Shackleton’s ability to persevere, keeping his crew safe and morale high under extreme circumstances, exemplifies resilience in its purest form. His trials underscored that enduring hardship builds strength and character—qualities that no easy journey could ever cultivate. Aly Raisman's words, "The hard days are what make you strong," capture this truth perfectly. In our professional and personal lives, it’s often the difficult days, the setbacks, and the challenges that shape us. Strength is forged not in comfort but in adversity, and every tough day is an opportunity to grow tougher and wiser. Embracing hard days as stepping stones to resilience makes each challenge a building block in our journey toward success. ********** Transform your organization with organization-wide professional development training! Who is Stefan? Let me tell you a story. Once upon a time, a young naval engineering graduate stood on the brink of an exciting—but uncertain—future. That young man was me, Stefan. 🎓 A Journey of Discovery It all started with a degree in Naval Electromechanics from the Mircea cel Batran Naval Academy, specializing in Internal Combustion Engines. It was a world of precision, mechanics, and innovation, but life had other plans. I didn’t follow the traditional path of my studies. Instead, I set out to find my true calling. 💡 From Setbacks to Leadership The road wasn’t always easy. I stepped into the world of sales and faced failure—more than once. But those setbacks became stepping stones. They taught me resilience, grit, and the importance of perseverance. Fast forward to today, and I proudly lead the PPC Department at Trivium Group. My career didn’t unfold as I first imagined, but it grew into something far more fulfilling. Through professional retraining and an insatiable hunger to learn, I’ve crafted a role that combines strategy, creativity, and teamwork. 🐾 Life Beyond Work Away from my desk, I share my home with Speedy, my Birman kitten who lives up to his name—he’s as fast and spirited as a Ferrari. And when I’m not chasing after him, I’m exploring new cities. This photo was captured on my latest adventure in Lisbon, Portugal. 🌍 The Bigger Picture At my core, I’m driven by a simple yet bold vision: to inspire one billion people across the globe. I want to show others that no matter where you start—or how many times you stumble—there’s always a way forward. There’s always potential waiting to be unlocked. Curiosity is my compass. Growth is my destination. And gratitude fuels every step of the way. This is my story so far—but it’s only the beginning. With inspiration and hope, Stefan #inspire #grow #believe #engineering #marketing #advertising #gratitude #blessed #hope #study #work #learn #earn #travel

Why you should manage expectations when preparing for a career at sea? We caught up with Tom, one of our Phase 3 cadets, who has already completed sea time in the Caribbean aboard '#Marella Discovery' and 'Marella Voyager'. Now back at Warsash Maritime School (Solent University), he talked to us about the importance of managing expectations. One of the biggest eye-openers for Tom was the huge difference between life onboard and theoretical knowledge. It’s one thing to study procedures in a classroom—it’s another to put them into practice on a working vessel. He’s traveled to some amazing places, worked with supportive officers, and taken on real responsibility faster than he expected. He values the financial and career opportunities that come with a life at sea, but also acknowledges that it’s not for everyone. 🗝 His takeaway? Cadets should come in with realistic expectations. Hearing from officers and those ahead in the programme helped him understand the realities of life at sea—the good, the bad, and everything in between. We appreciate Tom’s honesty about his experiences. It’s not always smooth sailing, but for those willing to adapt and push through the challenges, it can be an incredibly rewarding one. #maritime #cadets #seafarers #crewmanagement #cruise
