FIRE SALE ! or CYBERSECURITY CONSOLIDATION !! Your guess is as good as mine. Talking to a close VC friend in the US, he asked when discussing the below had I heard of the term Fire Sale. To be honest I hadn't in this context, so while a consolidation motion is taking place in the #cybersecurity industry. The shift from point solutions to platform has pushed the largest security vendors in the world to buy up emerging technologies and expand their product suite. He raised the question that a number of the companies were sold way below their Market Cap/Value siting in particular Talon (by Palo Alto Networks) & Perimeter 81, a Check Point Company both Unicorns with over a $1b valuation, which does beg the question where some Fire Sales? These wonderful M&A outcomes are just the beginning of a greater wave. and I predict over the next 6 months we will see US & Israel-based cybersecurity companies preparing to go public. The silent juggernauts that have already scaled past $100M+ of ARR are simply waiting for the IPO markets to open up. For more information on open positions, we are working on globally with our Portfolio Clients then contact Andrew Robinson FREC, louise robinson or Rebecca Beauchamp call us on +44 (0)1923 312435. There are a lot of factors that play in to whether an early stage security vendor succeeds. Talent being one of the biggest. Having the best talent does not guarantee a companies' success, but having the wrong talent is a sure way to guarantee it flops, or takes years to reach it full potential. The emphasis and effort venture capital funds put on maximizing talent varies drastically. Some of our partners have full-blown in-house talent teams and a strong network of talent partners to call on for any search. Some are doing absolutely nothing about it. Aspiron Search ran a large workshop this week for one of our fund partners who are looking to elevate the value they deliver to their portfolio from a talent perspective. It was refreshing to see how eager the platform and investment team are to nail this, and the impact will be big. Any funds out there who feel they're lacking in this area, give Joseph Cooper or I a shout, and we'll happily run the session with your team. #cybersecurity #venturecapital

Welcome to the team, Felix Tan! Joining us as Business Growth Strategist, Felix brings over three decades of experience in business development and entrepreneurship. He will take on the role of strategic connector and influencer within our key markets. This includes introducing potential adopters, customers, and partners to contribute towards Flexxon’s growth initiatives. Here's a little more about Felix, in his own words: ❓Q: What about cybersecurity most excites you? 🔸A: The innovative solutions that are being developed to help make for a safer and more secure digital world for all. And what's more exciting is the fact that Flexxon's cybersecurity products are firmware-based and AI-powered, making them unique in the industry today. ❓Q: What is the most pressing security concern for today's digital society? 🔸A: Securing critical national infrastructure - energy, utilities, communications, transportation. Any failure in one or more of these can be extremely disruptive to society and perhaps even catastrophic to the country's economy. Just imagine a scenario where power is lost through a cyberattack at a national scale for just 24 hours and you will begin to appreciate the enormous repercussions this one thing alone can do to our lives, our businesses, and our economy. ❓Q: What do you most look forward to in this role? 🔸A: As we're on the cusp of being able to harness the power of quantum computing and are already witnessing the power of generative AI, you can begin to imagine how quickly cybercrime can escalate. This role then allows me the opportunity to share the benefits of "being prepared ahead of time" through Flexxon's innovative cybersecurity products with my networks here and around the region. Give us a 👍thumbs up👍 if you agree with Felix and share his (and Flexxon's) commitment to a safer digital space for all! #newhire #cybersecurity #flexxon #singaporejobs #singapore
