Many raw materials and products in the food sector require very particular treatment. Dried fruits like raisins, cranberries or apple rings, for example, are a special challenge. They stick together easily and are anything but free-flowing. In addition, they are often extremely fragile, sensitive to pressure, and can – like raisins – lose liquid if damaged. Kubota Brabender Technologie has developed special solutions to discharge these highly demanding fruits effectively and continuously, to separate them gently, and to feed them with accuracy down to the gram. Foods like trail mix and muesli, but also chocolate require special feed solutions due to the varying requirements of their ingredients. For muesli, it's sticky raisins and dried fruits, delicate corn flakes, dusty oatmeal, and nuts prone to breakage, for example. For chocolate, depending on the recipe, cocoa mass, cocoa butter, sugar, and milk or cream powder are seasoned with spices like vanilla, chili or cinnamon, and often combined with corn flakes, nuts, almonds, raisins or other ingredients. If the chocolate is filled, it becomes even more complicated. Learn more here: https://loom.ly/LTJeJgE #Genesis #Process #Solutions #Kubota #Brabender #Food #Sector

So, we’re building out content for different platforms, and the goal is clear—attract businesses looking for a natural alternative to refined sugar. Here’s the thing: more and more brands want clean-label ingredients with a real story behind them. Maple syrup isn’t just a sweetener—it’s a single-ingredient product, packed with antioxidants, minerals, and a lower glycemic index than refined sugar. And unlike white sugar or corn syrup, it actually adds depth and character to recipes. So how do we get this message in front of the right people? How do we reach food manufacturers, exporters, and brands who want to integrate maple syrup into their products? One way is through content like this. Here’s Xavier breaking down the four grades of maple syrup: 🥞 Golden – Light, delicate, and smooth. Perfect for teas, yogurts, or premium products where a mild sweetness works best. 🍯 Amber – The most versatile. Balanced and rich, ideal for baked goods, cereals, and beverages. 🫙 Dark – Bold, deep, and full of maple flavor. Stands out in marinades, sauces, and recipes where you want that maple kick. 🔥 Very Dark – The strongest of them all. Smoky, intense, and often used in BBQ sauces, glazes, and food processing applications. If you’re in the food industry or know a company that’s looking for a steady bulk supply of maple syrup, let’s talk. We work with businesses that want to replace refined sugar with something better. 📦 Need a reliable maple syrup supplier? Let’s connect. - - #FoodIngredients #BulkSupply #NaturalSweetener #MapleSyrupExport #FoodManufacturing #SustainableIngredients

Healthiest/Photo/Day: Hotel Food Q: We were on a road trip this week. Can anyone tell me what exactly are you eating when hotels offer you this? Hotel waffles are typically made using a pre-mixed waffle batter or powder. Some mixes may also contain preservatives, emulsifiers, or stabilizers to extend shelf life. Common ingredients include: 1. Flour (usually enriched wheat flour). 2. Sugar (for sweetness). 3. Baking powder (as a leavening agent). 4. Salt (to enhance flavor). 5. Vegetable oil or shortening (for moisture and crispiness). 6. Dried eggs or egg powder (for structure). 7. Dried milk or milk powder (for richness). 8. Artificial flavors (like vanilla) or additives for consistency. Do you eat this? Did you know? #Molasses naturally occurs in sugar beet and sugar cane plants and is a byproduct of sugar refining. During this process, it is separated from sugar crystals by spinning them in a centrifuge. The first spin yields light molasses, while subsequent spins produce darker molasses. Although not as sweet as sugar, molasses is valued in many recipes for its rich flavor. Sugar beet molasses and sugar cane molasses differ in flavor and consistency and are not interchangeable. In the U.S., sugar cane molasses is primarily used for sweetening and flavoring foods (it’s what gives brown sugar its color!), whereas sugar beet molasses, which is less sweet, is mainly used for animal feed and other commercial purposes. #IngredientsPLUS #Sweeteners #DidYouKnow #FoodScience
