The single thing you're missing as part of your advertising budget is also free. Ready for the best piece of marketing advice no one tells you? ...See more I'm just kidding, just wanted to remind you that even though we see enough of this marketing to be completely immune, we still click things like this. Worse yet, some of us still scroll and read all the way to the bottom, hoping to find some grand, undiscovered wisdom there. There is still one known method to effectively market your products and services in a way that's clever and awe-inspiring. Hire humans. Hire designers and copywriters, hire UX professionals and web designers, hire anyone with a creative way of looking at the world. Hire someone who's passionate about your brand, who wants to help you build something unique, meaningful, honest, and lasting. Then together, launch more creativity, more ingenuity, more conversation into the universe. Otherwise, we're just using 750 words worth of impressions to get us to the bottom.

This completely. As someone who has made more than one drastic career change since leaving college, age is just a number. There is no manual or guidebook for how your life is supposed to be so feel free to pursue things at anytime. Ultimately it is better to have tried then to have not and wonder what could have been. #careerchange #careerpivot #lifejourneys
It breaks my heart when I see people who are in their 20s and 30s feel like they are behind in their careers. Don't be so hard on yourself. You can pivot and start from scratch at any age and still succeed, just like these folks: - Vera Wang, who was a figure skater and journalist, before owning the fashion industry at age 40. - Ray Kroc, who used to sell paper cups before he launched McDonald's expansion at age 52. - Stewart Butterfield, who worked as a freelance web designer, before building Slack in his 40s. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what other people think. What matters is, if you truly know yourself. What makes you tick? What are you naturally good at? The only way to discover this is by trying different things and not being afraid to fail. Keep experimenting until you find what works best for you. After that, it's all about staying consistent. Keep going! #mentalhealth

Last week, I threw a job posting out into the wild. Within 24 hours, LinkedIn had descended upon me. I hope these personal takeouts are useful in helping more creatives get a leg up: 🏆 Fierce Competition?: Be upfront in DMs. Someone looking to fill a position isn’t going to take the time to enter a dialogue and coax your work out of you when hundreds have already done the latter. Keep it Short and Memorable: 😘 💬 DMs over Comments: The UI/UX of the comments section on LinkedIn makes it tricky to track. Honestly, I might have missed people. 📍Location: If someone is building a full-time team or working with clients that need F2F, it matters, so let people know. 🔍 Simple Sites: Many portfolio sites were very ‘clicky’, making a user go down rabbit holes to find work. When there are hundreds to look through, it’s truly hellish. (How you present your work is an opportunity to demonstrate that you understand UX/UI, a target audience and how to sell...yourself inc.) 🎩 Classy over sassy: Avoid being too familiar off the bat. It will give people 'the ick' more than making you stick. 💰Rates: Only one freelancer out of hundreds gave her day rate. Transparency fast-tracked her and set her apart from the crowd. 📝 ‘About Me’: Creatives are advised against writing about themselves in the third person and then making a joke about it. They are all doing it.

Freelance SEO & Digital-marketer | On-Page Strategist: (UEO>SEO) Optimizing Web Pages for User Experience, Not Just for Search Engines
Post padhna ky hota h comment me interested likhna h to btao
Digital Marketing Consultant specializing in Content Marketing, PR, Online Business Growth, SEO, SMO
Are we hiring Unicorns now? Yesterday, a friend shared his interview experience where he was grilled about his expertise as a UI/UX designer, SEO specialist, ads expertise, and content creation. I had to ask him, "Aren't these roles usually filled by three different people?" Today's job market demands "all-in-one" professionals who can handle multiple roles for a surprisingly small budget. It’s like expecting a chef to be your plumber and your accountant too! Is this reasonable? Is it achievable? Or are we simply setting up skilled professionals for an endless, impossible challenge? #designer #uxuidesigner #ads #googleads #seo #hr #hiring #skills #professional #jobexpectation #career

Owner, Brand New Notebook | Web & UI design, strategy & conversion optimisation | designing thoughtfully, creatively, and a little scientifically.
Ever had this problem? Say you're launching a new company/product/campaign and you've got company A, the platform team and agency B - the design & marketing people. The marketing team need information from the platform people and you're acting as the go-between fielding emails and translating questions. But progress isn't being made, and no one's quite understanding the problems. You gotta get out of the way. Get two technical people in the room together, without you, and watch how quickly things get done. The copywriter and the web designer you hired will do their best work if you bring them together The web developer and the software company. The marketer and the product team. The video producer and the social media manager. Remember, it's your project, but you don't have to keep your providers/suppliers separate. The best of you know this.

Last week, I shared a post about how lucky I feel to be working and happy in my position—even in the midst of some late nights and busy, stressful days. Because it feels like a tough market out there, for freelancers and full-timers. So I offered up my network to anyone who wanted to share their work. The response was astounding (and a bit heartbreaking). I had no clue all the great talent out there searching for their next gig. I want to help in some small way. So here is a spreadsheet with roughly 160 talent leads in advertising or related roles. Creative directors, art directors, designers, copywriters, illustrators, editors, photographers, producers and many more. https://lnkd.in/e7e4ZsHJ Please share this out! If you are hiring or a talent recruiter, I urge you to take a look here first. These are your hand-raisers. They're actively engaging in conversations on LI and doing whatever they can to get seen and have productive industry conversations. They're taking the right steps. They just need a look. (Thanks to Zain Jiwani at Ripple Videos for helping me put this talent sheet together.) #advertising #talentforhire #recruiter #jobseekers #creatives #freelance #fulltime #availableforhire

After nearly six years with Retirement Living, my time has come to an end. Due to a reduction in force effort, I am looking for new opportunities. I'm so proud of the skills I've refined to grow the brand and pivot as the market dictated. I'll gladly share my resume with anyone who asks, but here's a snapshot of my achievements: • Content Production: I've worked in all stages of development, from ideation and keyword research to managing a freelance team of writers and editors and producing and publishing the content on the site. • Data Analysis for Data Stories: I know how to create a data synthesis process using publicly available data and privately collected data to extract key takeaways that inform a story. This includes survey creation, data processing in Excel, Sheets, and Apple Numbers, graphic design, and visual asset production. • Digital PR: I marketed these stories to make them available to journalists and news outlets. I have also done 10+ live TV and radio interviews to discuss these stories. • Brand Creation: I recently launched a facelift for the brand -- without consulting an external agency. This was a labor of love, and I am very proud of where it was headed and what I was able to release thus far. • Social Media: Starting in January, I learned a whole new set of skills to reach a new audience through social media outlets we hadn't utilized previously. In doing this, I learned Premiere Pro and self-produced, recorded, and edited 8 YouTube product reviews for national hearing aid partners. •Email Newsletter: I grew and managed a newsletter from 30,000 subscribers to 125,000 subscribers, all while maintaining a stable open and click rate. I designed and created all image resources and curated the articles featured. I also built the HTML email template used to send over 20 MILLION emails. • AI: I utilized an AI image creation tool to create images, allowing us to do away with costly stock imagery. • Web Design: I have designed 10+ hub pages as a part of the 2024 redesign, and a handful of matching tools and landing pages used for paid traffic purposes. Using Figma and Sketch, I transitioned wireframes to fully produced designs ready for development. If you are looking for a committed team member who is loyal and dedicated, I would love to chat!
