So yesterday, I tackled my first ever Hyrox competition with one of my good friends Isabelle at the iconic London Olympia - what an adrenaline rush! 💪🔥 Not going to lie, it was by far the toughest thing I've ever done. But with such an amazing atmosphere and cheers from friends, family, and even the selfless volunteers and fellow contenders (who still managed to find the energy to cheer on the people around them as well as running their own race 🥵 LEGENDS), the whole day was just something else! 🌟 luckily we managed to find the time to take this picture post-race but pre-prosecco 🥂🍾 Pushing past every gruelling squat and jelly-legged run made me think... In our careers, are we this brave? When was the last time you stepped out of that cosy comfort zone, or took on a challenge that got your pulse racing? 💼🏁 Just like in any competition like Hyrox, surrounding yourself with a robust support system makes all the difference. These are challenging times for leaders and teams. Many days the horizon feels so far away and the distracting noise so loud. I so appreciate this perspective on leadership and teams. From founding a PC manufacturing company straight out of college, when no one in Mexico would hire a 20-year-old female electrical engineer, to becoming the first Mexican woman to establish an early-stage VC firm, and even running ultramarathons—endurance defines my journey.
